Prophetic Forecast for 2010
(Given in October of 2009)
By The Numbers
The number 10 is scripturally considered to be the number of man's responsibility towards GOD. Man has 10 fingers and 10 toes signifying his walk, what he does, his ability, and responsibility (response-ability) towards GOD. There were the 10 commandments and the tithe which is a 10th of a man’s increase. There were 10 virgins symbolizing our responsibility to be ready for JESUS' return. The Lord judged the Israelites unworthy of entering into the Promised Land after saying in Lev 14:22 that they tempted Him 10 times- underscoring their failure in task to have faith in Him in the desert or in their desert place. (Selah)
Therefore the number 10 is the number of responsibility unto accountability.
In this year we are responsible for the grace He has imparted to us. But it will be easier to appreciate what the LORD is saying regarding 2010 when viewed within the context of the last few years. Without spending too much time on the past, 08' was a year of new beginnings. We grasped a concept or conceived new things: new projects, new prospects, new understandings, new approaches, new relationships, new directions etc...
Regarding 09', there are 9 gifts of the spirit, 9 fruits of the spirit, and a woman gives birth in the 9th month of her pregnancy process. Therefore 09' was a birthing year. In 2009 many witnessed a diversity of new births in their lives. At times, the ending of an old thing is a necessary part of the beginning of a new thing. E.g. if I desired to commence a new building project on a plot of land, the first thing I would have to do is clear or close the existence of the old for the sake of beginning or birthing the new.
Therefore, there were numerous endings in 2009 and although it was an exceedingly tumultuous and painful year, it was not a meaningless suffering but, pain with a purpose as the distress we experienced was from the travailing of birthing pangs.
Corporately
John the Baptist said that He must decrease so that Jesus could increase. Indeed we were decreased but only that He might increase. We were decreased in almost every aspect of our lives from our relationships with GOD and each other into our economy. In fact, the failing economy was a sign of what GOD was doing in everyone and everything in the earth. When the stock market began to plummet, for a long moment, it seemed as if its tumble would never stop. But it did. It stopped at the pre-appointed mark ordained by the Almighty One. The LORD was not trying to completely destroy the economy but He was determined to reform it. In a single stroke, He tempered the world system's rampant and self-destructive greed in the same way that AIDS ended the Sexual Revolution of the 60's, 70's and early 80's.
And so a leash was fashioned from men's tears of self inflicted ruin and fastened securely to the world system's unbridled lust for more —forcefully reining it in and making it a perfect birth canal for the new and perhaps final move of GOD in the earth. From Heaven the entire world could be heard groaning in travail as it was used to unleash an appreciation for GOD'S economy of contentment and Kingdom building.
For the body of the baby was already perfectly formed within the obscurity of the womb. But now that the baby has been birthed, the revelation of its already pre-knitted body will be revealed as hearts, ministries, and resources will come together and be made manifest as the "Man-Child".
There are many that will find themselves coming together who have already been "pre-interwoven" and just don't know it yet. They will be inexplicably attracted to one another though at times they may seem to be polar opposite in their revelation from GOD. But, the common denominator with each of them will be that they will all have a clear revelation from GOD.
Actively being led by the Holy Spirit will be the prevailing litmus test as to who will be included in the New Movement. It is also the determining factor as to whether what I am building is GOD's kingdom or in fact my own work. The absence of the LORD's leadership is a clear indicator as to who is in control or who is actually Lord over whatever I may have put my hand to in His name. And if I am the one calling the shots apart from His leadership, then even though I might not be aware of it—it has become my kingdom and the LORD may not necessarily be as much in what I am trying to accomplish, “in His name”, as I might think.
Individually
Many new babies were birthed in 2009 which even now are crying out to be mothered. For if in 08' we conceived and became pregnant, and in 09' we gave birth, in this year of 2010 the year of responsibility— we are responsible for the babies we have delivered. Some of us birthed out new revelations or approaches to our relationship with GOD and the things of GOD. Others of us bore out new found freedom and liberty from captivity. Still others of us produced fruit in everything from new or new levels in ministry and business to new or healed relationships.
There are many new babies of all varieties, shapes and sizes crying out to be nurtured. And now since the baby is here, we are responsible for its care.
Every pregnant woman anxiously anticipates the birthing of her child. She longs for the day of its promised revelation. But, now that the promise child has arrived, it takes its place at the center of her world. Now, its care is paramount above all other things. It must be nurtured continually in order that it might grow into maturity. Her husband, the LORD, measures her faithfulness to Him by her commitment to mother over his seed--watching carefully that His wife does not lose perspective to put her baby before her Husband.
And even as the Parent provides and cares for the child, then when he is old, the child cares for him, so too, will your baby, when grown to maturity, make a way to provide and care for you. Indeed, your gift will make room for you. So, the very thing which you have faithfully nurtured will one day grow to nurture you.
Ironically, with all the hardships of pregnancy, the mother may find that her life was much easier while the baby was still being nurtured in the womb of her faith. But once the baby is manifested, her life is filled with responsibility. “For unto whomever much is given, of him shall much be required”.
With responsibility there is accountability. Before we birthed out this new person place, thing or the grace or anointing to do His will, the LORD winked at specific areas of our weaknesses; not holding us accountable for some things as the grace or anointing had not yet developed within us full term for us to be able to stand in those areas. But now that He has established forth His impartation as the fruit of our wombs, we must now stand because now...we can.
This could be portrayed in an everyday life example as a certain man who struggled in hard core alcoholism. Other than a few minor incidents, he was seemingly protected from any serious trouble despite constantly driving under the influence. Many a time, he was so wasted, he wasn't even sure of how he got home. Then last year, he was given birth to his sobriety. He was given the grace to be free. He rejoiced in his solidly established liberty. However, on his birthday in June of 2010, he decides to let go and go backwards in his sobriety. And even though he only meant to indulge himself, just a little, he finds himself swallowed up again in alcoholism. He then drives home drunk as he has hundreds of times before in previous years, but this time it's different. The police pull him over and catch him; or he finds himself in some kind of accident—or worse. For now, he is accountable for the place he was given. For unto whomever much is given much shall be required. And now that he can stand...he must.
This year, we will see many restored relationships. Therefore; the same pattern can be essentially prophesied regarding those person's whose relationship with someone was healed because the LORD taught them how to be more patient and not to place unfair expectation on one another. As a result, a new peace has been birthed between them. They cannot forget these lessons learned in 09' or they may suffer serious loss in the relationship in 2010.
The encouraging thing is that I am generally only accountable for my baby; not yours. You cannot attempt to place on me what GOD dealt with you regarding—unless of course He has given you a Word and has sent you. Otherwise, that's your baby...not mine.
Wasted Seed
There are those in which the LORD's seed has been wasted. GOD faithfully planted the seed or He dealt with them about an issue but they didn't conceive; they didn’t respond to the grace imparted to them and follow through or follow Him through full term of the process. They are still accountable for the seed sown within the loins of their heart. For unto whomever much has been given, much shall be required.
Accountability--Good--Not Bad
The idea of being made accountable can sound a bit intimidating depending upon your point of view. But if we explored the reasons in view of the heart of GOD we would learn to appreciate His perspective or judgment. (Selah)
While wandering in the desert under Moses, the Israelites were sustained by the hand of GOD. They didn't have to sow and reap or worry about food or water in any way. The LORD dropped angels’ food from Heaven and fetched water from rocks. Neither were their cloths nor sandals worn out as they were supernaturally sustained. For 40 years they lived this way. Then came the day when they finally crossed over the Jordan and into their Promised Land—the land flowing with milk and honey. On that day the Mamma that they had come to depend upon for so long ceased. Now they had to sow, reap, hunt, fish, and take care of themselves. They had responsibility for their own survival now. For what GOD so did for you in your desert place, He will now do through you in the Promise Land. He will stand on your legs and work through your hands.
Isn't this the way it should be? It sounds cruel in that the Mama bird forces her young from the security of the nest. But, if she didn't, the young bird would never properly develop to its full potential and take on wings to fly—soaring to the higher places of life and the things of GOD.
And so, many found themselves ousted from their nesting place, their nest, and nest eggs crumbling behind them. The place that they had come to depend upon, now lost to them. Therefore, the manna needed to cease for the welfare of the baby. And this is why the economic system had to crash as a sign that whatever we are dependent upon must crash so that we might learn dependency on the LORD. Even Social Systems that so many of the poor have come to depend upon are crashing for lack of funding, so that none are excluded from this sovereign process.
As tough as it sounds, the LORD's hand is in this as it is impossible to walk in the spirit unless we truly understand what it means to walk by faith— which is really all depending upon GOD is. Therefore, many will find themselves initially sinking in what will feel like a “sink or swim” situation— as falling is often part of the process of learning to fly.
Indeed, this kind of falling should be considered the good kind of falling (if such a thing can be said). The bird must not focus on the ground keeping his past crashes in focus as he feels himself seemingly plummeting to his old familiar failure but, he must concentrate on the sky. He must focus on his goal, what GOD is saying, and where he is going, knowing that this time the sky will be the limit.
As he plunges downward, He must, at all cost, continue looking up—flapping his wings in faith; not a frantic flap but a faith flap— anticipating that the LORD’s grace and leadership will be the gusts of wind beneath his wings granting him the invaluable commodity of lift.
Conclusion
For all the ups and downs this season promises, this will be a time of soaring—of taking flight to begin the process of reaching for higher places; places that we could only reach in our dreams alone. 2010 is the year when we will begin the process of climbing what had been previously unattainable heights. But this time it will truly be in His name for His purposes.
We are being called to stand upon the edge of our perspective nests and take leaps of faith. During this season, The Kingdom of GOD is going to begin to be revealed and distinguished.
Those who have attempted leaps of faith in times past resulting in what became faith crippling crash landings may be a bit skittish about risking again. But, this time will be different because the time is different. The LORD has used the failures of your past to prepare you for what will be your success in this present season.
The hard upsets of the past were simply the result of underdeveloped wings striving to reach full term in their maturity. This time of leaping will be unlike any other time before. Previous disappointments and defeats will not be counted as wasted effort. The LORD has thriftily used the experience from every failure to strengthen and prepare you on a scope and scale beyond your brothers. Those whom have learned to faithfully wait upon the LORD will inherit an almost uncanny edge empowering them to be the leaders and even ushers of this new day. For whoever was first shall be last; and whosoever was last in the former order will be made first in this present one.
