We are living in an extraordinary time in history where things in the natural as well as the spiritual realm are escalating simultaneously at a rapid pace. We have heard prophecies for the past two years from reputable prophets that we were coming in to a time of shaking and that time has begun. The bible speaks of this time as the beginning of birth pains but it also says that this will be an exuberant time for the body of Christ.
In the book of Acts on the day of Pentecost they were all in one accord in the Upper Room. Suddenly a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind came in and it filled the room where they were assembled. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. The religious people didn't understand this because they were trying to figure it out with their natural mind and that’s why they thought that the disciples were drunk. In the same way, the religious people today don't understand spiritual things. Peter then stood up with the eleven and quoted from the book of Joel.
Acts 2:15 - 17
For these are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the
day. But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: 'And it shall come to pass
in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your
sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old
men shall dream dreams.
We are coming in to an amazing time when the gifts of the Holy Spirit will be so evident in the lives of many believers that will cause unbelievers to be in awe and give their lives to the Lord. If you want to learn how to hear His voice you must familiarize yourself with The Word of God and the Holy Spirits voice. There are a multitude of ways that the Holy Spirit speaks to us. One of the ways is through dreams.
The other night I had two dreams that were one hour apart. In the first dream a man gave me the number 3289. As always I woke up and recorded my dream in my voice mail. I went back to sleep and an hour later I had another dream. In this second dream I was telling someone that I had a dream an hour ago of the number 3289. I woke up from the second dream and recorded it. When I woke up the next morning I remembered that I had recorded something about a number so I called my voice mail to see what it was about. I totally forgot that I had dreamt of a number twice and as I was listening I couldn't believe that it was the same exact number that I dreamt of in two separate dreams an hour apart. I knew that the dream was a word from the Lord. I immediately went to the book of Psalms and to my amazement Psalm 32:8 was one of my favorite scriptures.
Psalms 32: 8 – 9
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with
My eye. Do not be like the horse or like the mule, Which have no understanding,
Which must be harnessed with bit and bridle, else they will not come near you.
When I read both verses I knew that I was to post this message. The Lord wants to instruct every one of us but He wants our undivided attention. Sometimes we may not be disciplined in what He is trying to show us.
A couple of days after this dream a lady named Catherina that I met online through a Prophetic ministry in The Netherlands (Teshuva Ministries) sent out her weekly email with the same exact scripture in A Word for 2010. She also wrote about two dreams that the Lord gave her. To make a long story short, she called me all the way from the Netherlands and also had a prophetic word for me.
God wants to speak to every one of you. We serve a supernatural God that wants to use us in a supernatural way. Jesus said several times in the Gospels: He who has ears to hear, let him hear! Don't settle for less than the Lord has for you. He wants to do extraordinary things in your lives and ministries.
