What is Aliyah ? Aliyah is the return of the Jewish people to the land that was promised to them through their forefathers, Abraham, Isaac & Jacob. Aliyah may not be Holy to the Muslim world, the UN, the EU and Barack Obama, but is it Holy to the God of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob. Why is Aliyah holy ? There are a number of reasons - here are the more important ones ..........
* God made a blood sealed covenant with Abraham promising him & his descendants the Land
Ps 105:6-11 O seed of Abraham His servant, you children of Jacob, His chosen ones! He is the LORD our God; his judgments are in all the earth. He remembers His covenant forever, the word which He commanded, for a thousand generations, The covenant which He made with Abraham, and His oath to Isaac, And confirmed it to Jacob for a statute, to Israel as an everlasting covenant, Saying, "To you I will give the land of Canaan as the allotment of your inheritance," (NKJ)
* God's name is profaned when the Jewish people live outside of Israel
Ezek 39:7 "So I will make My holy name known in the midst of My people Israel, and I will not let them profane My holy name anymore. Then the nations shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel. (NKJ)
* Messiah Yeshua will not return to the Earth until the Jewish people are back in their land
Acts 3:20-21 "and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before, "whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began. (NKJ)
We believe that being involved with Israel is not optional choice for Bible believing Christians. The issue is not Israel for Israel's sake, and it is not Israel for the Jewish people's sake - it is Israel for the sake of the whole world. Why do I think that ? Because Israel is all about the Kingdom of God. God is the God of Israel and He intends to re-establish His Kingdom on the Earth in the capital city of His nation Israel - that is Jerusalem, the City of the King. But before
He can do that the conditions must be right. That means according to Acts 3:21 that all of the prophecies concerning the restoration of Israel must be fulfilled.
Yes, that is a tall order, but the good news is that He has been working on for the last 113 years.
Ps 102:13-16 You will arise and have mercy on Zion; for the time to favor her, yes, the set time, has come. For the LORD shall build up Zion; he shall appear in His glory. (NKJ)
These verses began to be fulfilled with the first Zionist congress in Basel, Switzerland, in 1897. And He has been bringing the Jews back to Israel ever since.
Isaiah 5:26 He will lift up a banner to the nations from afar, and will whistle to them from the end of the earth; surely they shall come with speed, swiftly. (NKJ)
Over the last 100 years God had brought about the return of 6.5 million Jews to the land of Israel, and most of the world doesn't like it. Most of the world and much of the Church directly oppose God by trying to force Israel to give their land to the so called Palestinians. But God had very clearly give the land of Israel, ALL of it, to the Jewish people.
Jer 30:3 'For behold, the days are coming,' says the LORD, 'that I will bring back from captivity My people Israel and Judah,' says the LORD. 'And I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.'" NKJ)
There are more than 80 verses that speak about the return of the Jewish people at the end of the age, before the messiah returns. Here is another one ....
Jer 16:14-16 "Therefore behold, the days are coming," says the LORD, "that it shall no more be said, 'The LORD lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of Egypt,' "but, 'The LORD lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north and from all the lands where He had driven them.' For I will bring them back into their land which I gave to their fathers. (NKJ)
Six million Jews have returned to Israel since 1897. God brought about the collapse of the communist regime in the former Soviet Union to free the Jews. One million Russian speaking Jews returned from 1989 - 1999. In the early 90's they were coming at 1000 a day. Now it is 'only' 1000 per week. In 2006, 4000 Jews returned during as the rockets were falling in the Second Lebanon War of 2006.
And God is calling the Church to help bring the Jewish people home
Isaiah 49:22 Thus says the Lord GOD: "Behold, I will lift My hand in an oath to the nations, and set up My standard for the peoples; they shall bring your sons in their arms, and your daughters shall be carried on their shoulders;
When did you last hear a message in your church about the importance of Aliyah and when did your church take up an offering or send volunteers to help bring some Jews back to Israel ? Did you notice the what the Lord says in Psalm 102:14 ?
For Your servants take pleasure in her stones, and show favor to her dust. So the nations shall fear the name of the LORD, and all the kings of the earth Your glory.
Does your pastor and all of your church members love Israel as you do ? If not they are in disobedience to the will of God. In most churches I find very little interest, let alone involvement concerning Israel. A shocking number of churches are teaching against Israel and the Jewish peoples right to live there. They seem to believe that God gave the land to the descendants of Ishmael, rather than Isaac's descendants. Seems these kind of Christians don't care at all about the Lord's reputation and good name
Ezek 36:21-23 "But I had concern for My holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the nations wherever they went. Therefore say to the house of Israel, 'Thus says the Lord GOD: "I do not do this for your sake, O house of Israel, but for My holy name's sake, which you have profaned among the nations wherever you went. "And I will sanctify My great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in their midst; and the nations shall know that I am the LORD," says the Lord GOD, "when I am hallowed in you before their eyes. (NKJ)
Now that we all know that is Holy unto the Lord our God, what shall we do about it ?
1. Make praying for Aliyah a priority in every time of prayer - beseech the Lord to continue, even to increase the rate of Jews returning home
2. Be a voice-piece and strongly encourage any Jewish people you encounter to come home
3. Pass on some information on Aliyah to your church leadership and encourage your pastor to make Aliyah a priority in your church
4. Share the Biblical facts about Israel's strategic importance to the Kingdom of God with all of you Christian brothers and sisters

The Lord bless you as you bless Israel by standing in defense of her right to exist on the land given to the Jewish people by the God of Israel. Lets pray that Israel will turn back to their God. Do not be silent, but share this with your fellow Christians, share it with your pastors, and with anyone you have a chance to speak to. Lets also pray for that breakthrough to the Muslims, and please remember to pray for all of the soldiers in the IDF -they are defending and fighting for the Kingdom of God.
