This word was received progressively from 2007 to the present.
I was awakened very early one morning by hearing myself speaking something out loud. I heard myself saying, loudly and clearly, "Your Word is empowered in the earth." (I thought later, I must have been repeating a word that was spoken to me by the Lord while I slept!) Then right after I spoke that phrase, as I lay in bed, I was receiving a deeper understanding about the authority and power our spoken words embody ~ His Word that is spoken through us as we speak it, is empowered in the earth - on earth as it is in heaven ~ Glory to God!
Part of the anointing on this word from the Lord contained an urgency regarding the timing of it. Of course it is an everlasting truth, that has always been true, but this word for me was as if the revelation of it was time-released for 2007. Today it is fresh and teeming with Life and Anointing oil!
Then there are our own words which I believe He meant are also empowered in the earth, either for faith or for doubt, for healing or for wounding, for hope or for desperation, for hatred or for love, for encouragement or for discouragement, for building up or for tearing down.
We can either have the agreement and advancement of Heaven with our words, doused in the Lord's favor, or we can easily have the agreement of hell with our words.
Words can be sticks of dry kindling coated with unforgiveness, gossip, anger or hatred, that burn up and draw the flames of destruction into the structure of our lives, as described so vividly in James 3. I want the agreement of Heaven and the favor of our King with my words, don't you?
Empower
The meaning of the word "empower" in the Webster's Dictionary is "to give official authority or legal power to."
As Christians, our words are full of authority and power, they are official and legal. Our Father holds all the keys, and Jesus said to Peter, "I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." I believe we are to align ourselves first with what has been established in Heaven, so that we are positioned to actually receive on earth what is in Heaven.
As we pray sincerely from our hearts, "Lord, Your kingdom come, Your will be done, in me, in my life and on earth as it is in Heaven", we invite heaven to earth, and as we stay close to Jesus, just to simply be with Him and know Him, walk with Him and talk with Him, take time to have that relationship which is the most important one to have and to maintain. Good fruit and blessing fill every other relationship. Then we are transformed, and our words and our thoughts become closely knit with His, our minds are renewed. To say that we are "out of our minds", is not far from the truth for we have the mind of Christ!
The other half of this old, but "new" word came to me very recently. The Lord showed me Luke 9:54, 55, James and John, very appropriately nicknamed the "Sons of Thunder", had just asked Jesus if they could call fire down upon a group of Samaritans who would not let Jesus pass through their village, (age old feuding!) because he was headed to Jerusalem. Oh come on Jesus, you are greater than Elijah, and he called fire down on the people ~ lets show these people just Who You are!
"But he turned and rebuked them and said, 'Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of...'"
(Vs. 55 is only in Luke and only in the KJV, this line is not found in the NIV and most likely also not in any other version either)
And Jesus said to them, "I have not come to destroy the lives of men, but to save them."
What love and patience guides us daily! He continues to patiently disciple us, just as He did with His disciples then. After Jesus intervenes and corrects His disciples, then in Luke 10:16-24, Jesus also explains to James and John just what Spirit they really are of or from, the authority they carried and the impact of this (His Holy Spirit in them), on others.
God Made or Man-Made?
Is what we fight for, pray for, work towards, something we know is already established in Heaven? Is it God made or man made? Do we ever try to pray into existence our own will and rights, trying to form it on earth with our own hands and efforts? Does the clay say to the Potter, "What have you made?" (Is. 45:9,10)
Things on earth are a shadow of things to come.
"Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ. " Col. 2:17
There must be the real in order for there to be a shadow of it. As the Son's glory shines in and through what He has established in Heaven, we see the shadow of the real on earth. We don't need to fight for it or even for Him, but become a vessel, a co-creator, a beloved one, in union with Him and filled with the Light of Life. As we lean into and become aligned with our Father's great big loving heart, we are given the awesome opportunity to speak and express on earth what is in Heaven!
As you lean in and press into His heart, you may just tumble in, and it is the most fascinating, safest, warmest, most beautiful and loving place to be. There just are not enough wonderful adjectives to describe Jesus!
I pray this word is a true blessing to you.
