One Accord & One Another

Our ministry is all about 'Bridging Heaven and Earth' and about establishing Bridges between people groups and the various ministry anointings.

Here is a Word Holy Spirit gave me today in response to something Jerry Phillips asked me to do...

It is about Reformation: Re-forming from a fragmented Bride to One Holy Body prepared for the Resplendent Jesus.

Be enlivened and encouraged.

Kelly

There is ONE THING whereby we are united and unified.

His Name is Jesus.

Presently many of us desire to experience the essence and vitality of First Century Christianity. We desire the signs and wonders following. We cry out for this life of passion, power, and purpose. First Century Christianity is what we believe we are to model. The fault in our logic has been that we must somehow go backward to do so. Why? Has God moved? No. Our hearts have moved.

Our hearts have gone down the garden path of following politics, bowing to the religious structures of our day, and climbing corporate ladders in our fellowships. I clearly hear the Father calling our hearts back to Himself--back into proper alignment. Reformation.

The upper room Christians had their hearts focused like laser beams on the promise of Jesus to send Another Who would endue them with power. They quit all of their extraneous Christian meetings such as covered dish fellowships and bus trips to Rome.

They trained their minds and hearts on Him and what He had promised. They found themselves in an atmosphere and a place we know as one accord in one place.

"And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place." Acts 2:5

What place was that? The obvious answer is "the upper room," but that is only their physical location. The Greek says that they were all in one mind with one passion. That is the 'one accord' part. Now this is really interesting...the Greek for 'in one place' autos, means himself. This is of primary importance. This is their metaphysical location. Could it be that the place that they were in was in Christ Jesus?

For in him we live, and move, and have our being... For we are also his offspring. Acts 17:28

They obediently pursued Jesus' promise from the Father. They remained in Jerusalem, the Hebrew name for 'the place of double peace'. They were so conscious of and dedicated to their oneness in the Spirit of God, in Christ Jesus, that heaven opened over them and Holy Spirit filled them to overflowing. They had given themselves over to Jesus as their Reality completely, body and spirit. Through grace and by faith their hearts came into perfect alignment with the intentionality of God's heart.

This was the portal of entrance for the mighty rushing wind of Holy Spirit, this place of deep, abiding double peace, power, significance, authenticity, obedience, and unity in the person of Jesus Christ.

You know what? Human beings just cannot build unity like that, try as we might. The church has attempted to construct unity around so many lesser things. We have rallied around teachings, doctrines, denominations, culture, theologies, personalities, and 'moves of God.' There is ONE THING whereby we are united and unified. Jesus.

He is All- in -All. In Him, we have our lives and we have unity. In this person called Jesus we are all one Spirit and one baptism. We can talk in many tongues and yet we will all be understood.

I truly believe that the 'upper-roomers' were the first fruits of Pentecost because of the powerful revelation they had of heaven and of Jesus as Reality. So many today cry out for renewal and revival. We ask God to give us something like the second chapter of Acts. I believe He is actually restraining Himself! He intends even better.

I see the heart of God for our generation: He stands on the circle of the earth and He is restraining Himself from pouring out the latter rain which is written to be greater than the former. He is waiting for a critical mass of believers to unite in the revelation that His Son Jesus is the Highest Reality, and that we are with Him where He is and He indwells us. He waits for us to stop doing 'churchy' things, and He desires that we assume our true identities: we are the church, the Body of Christ, the dwelling place of God, His living House. He waits for us to throw off religion, renew our minds, and allow Him to raise our collective consciousness to its intended level: Heaven and the Lord of Glory come to earth to rule and reign.

In this corporate revelation we will stand at the gate of heaven. Signs and wonders will follow. As will the greatest harvest!
