21 Days Of Prayer For Breakthrough Over The Prince Of Persia

At that time I, Daniel, mourned for three weeks. I ate no choice food; no meat or wine touched my lips; and I used no lotions at all until the three weeks were over.
"Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them. But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, because I was detained there with the king of Persia."
Soon I will return to fight against the prince of Persia, and when I go, the prince of Greece will come, but first I will tell you what is written in the Book of Truth. (No one supports me against them except Michael, your prince. And in the first year of Darius the Mede, I took my stand to support and protect him.) Dan 10:2-3,12-13, 20-11:1
"The threat against Israel from Iran is growing each day and we need to pray"
We have announced a special time of prayer for breakthrough over the Prince of Persia during the coming 21 days leading up to the Feast of Purim on March 9.
The Feast of Purim is an annual celebration of the defeat of Haman's plan to exterminate the Jewish people in the Persian Empire 2500 years ago. Persia is today called Iran. Iran represents the force of fanatical Islam, and their agenda to destroy Israel and take over the world for Allah.
The threat hanging over Israel from Iran is probably the worst since Israel became a nation in 1948. Already in the 1980-ies Yitzhak Rabin said that Iran will eventually become Israel's most dangerous enemy. The threat against Israel from Iran is growing each day and we need to pray.
War Against Amalek
Haman, who devised the plan in Persia to wipe out the Jewish people about 2500 years ago, was a descendant of Amalek. We read an important passage about Amalek in Exodus 17:14-16:
Then the LORD said to Moses, "Write this on a scroll as something to be remembered and make sure that Joshua hears it, because I will completely blot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven."
Moses built an altar and called it The LORD is my Banner. He said, "For hands were lifted up to the throne of the LORD. The LORD will be at war against the Amalekites from generation to generation." Ex 17:14-16
There is an Amalekite rising up against Israel in every generation. After Adolf Hitler and the Holocaust came Gamal Abdel Nasser in Egypt and declared his intention to cast the Jews into the sea. After him came Yasser Arafat with a different strategy of terror and less than one year after he died in 2004, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad became the President of Iran and immediately began declaring his intention to "wipe Israel off the map."
In 1 Samuel 15 we read how God told King Saul to totally destroy Amalek.
Samuel said to Saul, "I am the one the LORD sent to anoint you king over his people Israel; so listen now to the message from the LORD. This is what the LORD Almighty says: 'I will punish the Amalekites for what they did to Israel when they waylaid them as they came up from Egypt. Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy everything that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.'"
Then Saul attacked the Amalekites all the way from Havilah to Shur, to the east of Egypt. He took Agag king of the Amalekites alive, and all his people he totally destroyed with the sword. But Saul and the army spared Agag and the best of the sheep and cattle, the fat calves and lambs everything that was good. 1 Sam 15:1-3,7-9

Later on Samuel killed King Agag. We read in the Book of Esther that Haman was a descendant of Agag. Because King Saul originally allowed Agag to live, he was, according to Jewish tradition, able to rape one of Saul's slave girls and make her pregnant before he was put to death by Samuel. This child then became the ancestor of the wicked Haman. We read in Psalm 83 that Amalek is involved in the end time battle to destroy Israel.
O God, do not keep silent; be not quiet, O God, be not still. See how your enemies are astir, how your foes rear their heads. With cunning they conspire against your people; they plot against those you cherish. "Come," they say, "let us destroy them as a nation, that the name of Israel be remembered no more."
With one mind they plot together; they form an alliance against you the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, of Moab and the Hagrites, Gebal, Ammon and Amalek, Philistia, with the people of Tyre. Even Assyria has joined them to lend strength to the descendants of Lot. Ps 83:1-8
We learn from the passage in Exodus 17 that as long as Moses held up his hands in prayer, Israel was victorious in the battle against Amalek. We must continually pray for Israel every day in the battle they are facing with their enemies. Centuries after Moses, Haman was likewise defeated through Queen Esther's intercession on behalf of the Jewish people before King Ahasuerus.
Haman son of Hammedatha, the Agagite , the enemy of all the Jews, had plotted against the Jews to destroy them and had cast the pur (that is, the lot) for their ruin and destruction. But when the plot came to the king's attention, he issued written orders that the evil scheme Haman had devised against the Jews should come back onto his own head, and that he and his sons should be hanged on the gallows. Est 9:24-25
This is what we need to pray regarding the threat from the regime in Iran to wipe out Israel! We need to be encouraged by the promise in Exodus 17:16, "The LORD will be at war against the Amalekites from generation to generation!" Now it is time for us to take the place of Moses and Queen Esther in our generation and lift our hands before the Throne of Grace in intercession for Israel that their enemies will be defeated! It will go with Ahmadinejad as it went with Agag, Haman, Hitler, Nasser, Arafat and all the rest who have risen up against Israel in every generation. But we must take our responsibility in prayer!
The Ultimate Victory
The LORD will be at war against Amalek from generation to generation! Only when the Messiah, the true King of Israel, returns, will Amalek be completely destroyed. Isaiah vividly describes Yeshua, the Messiah, just like the warrior in Revelation 19,
Who is this coming from Edom, from Bozrah, with his garments stained crimson? Who is this, robed in splendor, striding forward in the greatness of his strength?
"It is I, speaking in righteousness, mighty to save." Why are your garments red, like those of one treading the winepress?
"I have trodden the winepress alone; from the nations no one was with me. I trampled them in my anger and trod them down in my wrath; their blood spattered my garments, and I stained all my clothing. For the day of vengeance was in my heart, and the year of my redemption has come. I looked, but there was no one to help, I was appalled that no one gave support; so my own arm worked salvation for me, and my own wrath sustained me. I trampled the nations in my anger; in my wrath I made them drunk and poured their blood on the ground." I will tell of the kindnesses of the LORD, the deeds for which he is to be praised, according to all the LORD has done for us. Isa 63:1-7
21 Days of Intensified Prayer
We encourage all of you to join our 21 day "Daniel fast" from February 17 up to the Feast of Purim on March 10 to pray for victory over the plans of the "Prince of Persia" today to destroy Israel. A Daniel fast is a partial fast from all meat and delicacies during a time of intensified prayer.
Attack at Iraqi Osirak nuclear reactor.
Israel has declared for years that they cannot accept that Iran gets nuclear weapons that pose a very real threat to its existence. They single-handedly destroyed Iraq's nuclear program in 1981 and Syria's in 2007. Israel is at present more or less left alone to deal with Iran's nuclear ambitions.
During these coming 21 days, Israel will form its next government that will be the one to deal with this threat. It is a very important prayer topic and an extremely crucial time to pray! Pray for much needed wisdom for Netanyahu!
We read in Daniel 10:20, "Soon I will return to fight against the prince of Persia, and when I go, the prince of Greece will come." The prince of Greece is the western powers. The West led by the new Obama administration will do its utmost to pressure Israel into a wrong peace settlement, by giving up its God given heritage to their sworn enemies. Israel will need a very strong government that can stand up to this pressure. We can be sure that if the plan of the western powers succeeds, Hamas will very quickly take over the control of every square inch yielded by Israel, just like it happened in Gaza and in Lebanon with Hezbollah five years before that.
We need to thank God that the northern border has been safe during the time Hezbollah threaten to avenge their military leader Imad Mugnieh on the anniversary of his death by attacking Israel.
Outgoing Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has decided to make the release of Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit a condition for a cease fire agreement with Hamas in Gaza. Let us pray that Olmert will succeed to release Shalit!
We want to end by quoting from a recent interview with Benjamin Netanyahu on British Television.
Interviewer: "How come so many more Palestinians have been killed in this conflict than Israelis?"
Netanyahu: "Are you sure that you want to start asking in that direction?"
Interviewer: "Why not?"
Netanyahu: "Because in World War II more Germans were killed than British and Americans combined, but there is no doubt in anyone's mind that the war was caused by Germany's aggression. And in response to the German blitz on London, the British wiped out the entire city of Dresden, burning to death more German civilians than the number of people killed in Hiroshima.
Moreover, I could remind you that in 1944, when the R.A.F. tried to bomb the Gestapo Headquarters in Copenhagen, some of the bombs missed their target and fell on a Danish children's hospital, killing 83 little children.

The LORD looked down from his sanctuary on high, from heaven he viewed the earth, to hear the groans of the prisoners and release those condemned to death. Ps 102:19-20
Pray For Water!
I will make rivers flow on barren heights, and springs within the valleys. I will turn the desert into pools of water, and the parched ground into springs. I will put in the desert the cedar and the acacia, the myrtle and the olive. I will set pines in the wasteland, the fir and the cypress together, so that people may see and know, may consider and understand, that the hand of the LORD has done this, that the Holy One of Israel has created it. Isa 41:18-20
Then I saw another angel flying in midair, and he had the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth to every nation, tribe, language and people. He said in a loud voice, "Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of water." Rev 14:6-7
January has been the driest month in Israel since the founding of the nation in 1948. The water situation is very acute. We have written to you earlier that God has revealed to a brother in Norway that there are huge rivers underneath all of Israel, all the way from northern Galilee to the southern end of the Negev. According to our friend the rivers contain much more water than Israel will ever need.
We want to thank all of you for praying and give you an update. On March 3 (the date has been changed!) our Norwegian brother and his friend will travel to one of the spots where they want to drill for water. They will be accompanied by a representative from Mekoroth, the Israeli National Water Company, and a representative from the Israeli Foreign Affairs Department in Jerusalem. This is a breakthrough in answer to prayer and we ask you to pray for this very important meeting on March 3!
Before this meeting was scheduled a representative from the Israeli Embassy in Olso contacted one of our friends involved in the project and asked him how things are developing. Our friend said, "To be honest with you nothing is happening because the Israeli authorities do not believe us." The official answered him: "You read your Bible, don't you?" Our friend said: "Yes, of course." "Well, then you know that the Jewish people have never listened to prophets. But I promise you that if you do not give up, I am sure that your efforts will succeed."
We have promised to pray for this project since water it is so vital for Israel. The brothers from Norway are very careful to let God alone get the glory for what they are doing, including the financing of the entire project. They have recently found out that the cost will be about ten times more than they first expected. Isaiah 41:20 is a key verse, "so that people may see and know, may consider and understand, that the hand of the LORD has done this, that the Holy One of Israel has created it."
Give thanks for the breakthrough and pray for the important meeting on March 3!'

Pray that the brothers from Norway will be granted permission to drill for water!
"See, I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared." Ex 23:20
Pray that Israel's water needs will be met, that the ecological crisis will be averted and that God will receive all the glory!
