As we can see, religion is the opposite of what a relationship is with the Lord...

Religion was the very thing that those who were observers of the law were caught up in and did not even recognize the Son of Man when He appeared right before them. It was the religious mindset that sought to kill Him. Nothing threatens those who are bound in religion like the true anointing Christ was the true Anointed One. But make no mistake, He was not killed by anyone. He CHOSE to lay down His life for our sake that we might live.

Below are some of the tell tale signs of a religious spirit at work...please pray for the Lord to show you in there is any bondage that you have received from some well meaning pastors but may be in error in this regard.....God bless you all......

Religion is lead by intellect

Requires rules and strict conformity

Brings on bondage and heaviness

Focus is on self

Obsessive self examination

Works mentality

Check lists involved

Quenches all joy

Tries to control

Provides short lived false peace

False security

Produces Pride

Condemns self and others

Squelches all aspects of Life

Produces Pride

Idolizes principles and concepts

Steers away from a personal relationship with Christ

Provides not personal testimony of a heart change

Has not love

Cannot produce the fruit of the Spirit

Feeds on knowledge

Despises the true anointing

Refuses the gift of salvation

Pride and idolatry are at its root

Breeds its own kind

Draws deception to itsself

Oh Father in heaven, help each of us to ABIDE with You , to keep us in all truth. Help us to be lovers of truth. Lead us in the way that is everlasting and keep us far from evil. Purge our hearts to be pure for You, holy devoted and continually in love with You. For great are You Lord and worthy of praise....In Jesus name, amen
