Seven Times Chastised
Hollie Moody
(September 22, 2005)
In a vision, I saw a man standing alone with a long pole held in one of his hands. In his other hand, he held a trumpet. The man appeared to be standing upon rock; a firm foundation. The pole had a banner waving from the top of it.
The man took the pole, raised it up high in the air, then slammed it down into the ground upon which he was standing, anchoring the pole into the rock. He then began to blow the trumpet.
The man stayed where he was, upon the rock, with the pole grasped in one of his hands, and the trumpet in his other hand. I then saw young men approaching the man with the pole and the trumpet. The young men were converging upon the man with the pole and the trumpet from every direction. When they reached the man with the pole and the trumpet, they sat at his feet, and he began to speak to them. He was instructing them, exhorting them, admonishing them, encouraging them.
Towards the end of his speaking to the young men, he cried out loudly, "Love the truth! Contend for the faith!"
The young men arose back to their feet and departed from the man who was holding the pole and the trumpet. The young men returned in the same direction from which they had come.
Then, the vision ended. ********** Several days after experiencing this vision, the Spirit of the Lord spoke to me and said, "An island will be struck by an east wind."
A few days later, I felt the Spirit of the Lord exclaim to me three times, "Bring them home! Bring them home! Bring them home!" I felt very strongly that those to be brought home, were our troops in Iraq.
I sensed in my spirit that the vision and the two words spoken to me by the Spirit of the Lord were somehow connected, but I didn't know how they were. I began to pray and fast in regard to the vision and the two words from the Lord.
I sought counsel and advice from others. I will include their words here in regard to what an east wind represents/symbolizes. I will also include their names to give them recognition and honor for what they shared with me.

Spiritually speaking, an East wind...the wind from the rising of the Sun, is from the Lord. The East wind has one affect upon the righteous for their benefit and quite the opposite effect upon the wicked. The three Hebrew children enjoyed themselves in the company of an angel while the nearness of the same environment caused the death of those that cast them into it. The East wind blew, separated the waters, effecting deliverance for the people of God, while it brought about the destruction of the army of Pharoah. The East wind blew away the locust into the sea effecting their destruction, which caused the preservation of the grain in the fields.
Maybe I can elaborate more on the East Wind later on, but in short, the East Wind, speaking spiritually, denotes love to the Lord and love toward the neighbor and all that is good. But, as I said above, among the wicked, the same wind has an opposite effect, denoting self love and love for the world. The East Wind speaks of dispersing all that is false (the locusts) and evil. In fact winds of whatever direction speak of spirits that move upon the (spiritual) land. Doctrines are spirits that move upon the spiritual landscape.
In the original language the same word is used for spirits as for winds. They flow in wave upon wave and activate kindred loves and delusions residing within a person. When these spirits are dispersed, the Word speaks of it being done by means of 'a wind', and in fact by 'an east wind'.
A parching East Wind is sent by the Lord off the hot dry desert into Caana to dry the fruit and wither the vine as a judgment upon (the church) Caana. An East wind will also wreck the ships of Tarshish, Psa 48:7. Ephraim feeding upon the wind, following after the East wind speaks of multiplying lies by the understanding. "To feed on wind" is "to multiply a lie;" "and to pursue the east wind" is "to multiply vastation." A state of vastation and temptation is also called "the day of the east wind" in Isa. 27:7, 8.
The East Wind (Verses and thoughts shared with me from: Matthew Burdette)
Gen 41:27 And the seven thin and ill favoured kine that came up after them [are] seven years; and the seven empty ears blasted with the east wind shall be seven years of famine.
Exodus 10:13 And Moses stretched forth his rod over the land of Egypt, and the LORD brought an east wind upon the land all that day, and all [that] night; [and] when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts.
Job 27:19 The rich man shall lie down, but he shall not be gathered: he openeth his eyes, and he [is] not. Job 27:20 Terrors take hold on him as waters, a tempest stealeth him away in the night. Job 27:21 The east wind carrieth him away, and he departeth: and as a storm hurleth him out of his place. Job 27:22 For [God] shall cast upon him, and not spare: he would fain flee out of his hand.
Jer 18:17 I will scatter them as with an east wind before the enemy; I will shew them the back, and not the face, in the day of their calamity.
Jonah 4:8 And it came to pass, when the sun did arise, that God prepared a vehement east wind; and the sun beat upon the head of Jonah, that he fainted, and wished in himself to die, and said, [It is] better for me to die than to live.
Sis,As far as I understand it scripturally, the East Wind always refers to Gods judgment. I have to agree with Bro Strange that the East wind has a different effect on the saint than it does on the sinner. The East Wind upon a saint will cause him to seek God for greater grace. It will bring him to a humbled state before his God. Within the East Wind, he will find that he is not destroyed, but sustained in it. The East Wind upon the sinner will cause him to curse God, and blaspheme the Name of the Most High. We will see this more and more as times continue. The sinner will become more and more hardened to the promptings of God for repentance. Instead of judgment bringing him down to a humbled state, it will harden him more and more against God. This is shown in Rev ch 9 and ch 16.
********** (A statement I received from a brother I know only as: "Essaias.")
The east wind was an "evil" because it blew out of the Arabian Desert, and was hot, dry, and blighting.
There is a lot of hot air blowing in the religious world these days, and it is dry as a bone and blighting the spirits of millions.

I saw a correlation between the FOUR WINDS in Matthew 24:31 and Zech 6.
Mat 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Quote: Zec 6:1-6 And I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came four chariots out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of brass. (2) In the first chariot were red horses; and in the second chariot black horses; (3) And in the third chariot white horses; and in the fourth chariot grisled and bay horses. (4) Then I answered and said unto the angel that talked with me, What are these, my lord? (5) And the angel answered and said unto me, These are the four spirits of the heavens, which go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth. (6) The black horses which are therein go forth into the north country; and the white go forth after them; and the grisled go forth toward the south country.
A good marginal reference Bible will tell you the FOUR SPIRITS is the same thing as THE FOUR WINDS.
Quote: spirits: or, winds
And notice the four horses here are paralleling those of Rev 6. And if they are the FOUR WINDS, is it more than coincidental that after Rev 6 lists the four horses (winds) and the other seals, that Rev 7 says FOUR WINDS as well?
Quote: Rev 7:1 And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.
These explanations of the symbolic meaning of the "East Wind" helped to bring much clarity to my questions. Yet, I was still left wondering what the "island" was that had been spoken to me by the Spirit of the Lord. I went back and reread the entire post Bro. Rayford Strange had sent to me. And found my answer. He said:
"Here is an example of what you see:
Rom 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made...
God speaks by things that are seen. We must learn to discern His language. Otherwise, we are without excuse. "
And there was my answer. The "island," is America.
At the end of Bro. Strange's letter to me, he shared the following (this was shared with me on September 13, 2005):
"Now, with that being said, the other night as I was praying and meditating, I saw a sword laid across America. The point of the sword reached beyond the West Coast. The blade laid across the landscape while the hilt was off the East Coast. I then heard these words, "America is appointed to the sword."
Let us pray for America, remembering to ask God to spare the righteous for whatever impending calamity that might be ahead of us." ********** As I continued to pray and fast about how all of this fit together, Leviticus 26 was laid on my heart.
Leviticus 26:18, 21, 23-24, 27-28 ~~ "{18} And if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins. {21} And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins. {23} And if ye will not be reformed by me by these things, but will walk contrary unto me; {24} Then will I also walk contrary unto you, and will punish you yet seven times for your sins. {27} And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me; {28} Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins."
After receiving the burden of Leviticus 26, the Lord freely began to speak to me. His Spirit spoke to me of the logically steady progression of chastisements He has allowed to be sent against America. These chastisements have already fallen upon: areas of tourism and places/cities of witchcraft and demonic activity.
(Please note: When we read in the Word of God when God's chastisement and/or judgments fell upon certain cities/nations, the surrounding areas were also affected by this chastisement/judgment. Areas/cities surrounding areas of chastisement in America have also been affected by these chastisements.)
The Lord impressed upon my heart that the following areas/centers will also be coming under the chastisement of the Lord: oil and money, entertainment and homosexuality (area impressed upon my heart was: from Hollywood to San Francisco), education, religion, and the government. These equal seven areas of chastisement.
This brought back to my mind the vision of the man holding a pole in one hand and a trumpet in his other hand. The pole represents a standard, a criterion of excellence. A trumpet was used in the Word of God to signalize God's presence as well as prophetic events, to gather the nation together, and to alert against an enemy.
The Lord would have us to stand firm upon the Rock, which is Christ/Truth. God would have us to be a voice to those around us to warn of His impending chastisements and to turn the sinner from the error of his ways.
The Lord will have those who know Him to have peace in their hearts.
Psalm 29:11 ~~ "The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace."
John 14:27 ~~ "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."
There will be places/cities of refuge that the Lord will provide for the safety of those who hear His warnings and flee from the coming chastisements.
There was also a warning from the Lord given unto me for the prophets:
"They <the prophets> are giving little to no warnings to My people for they <the prophets> are lazy and undisciplined. If they <the prophets> will humble themselves, pray and seek My face, My voice will clearly be heard, and warning will be given in advance of an impending chastisement. I will hold them <the prophets> responsible for not giving warning in advance."
******* Jer. 51:11-12, 27 ~~ "{11} Make bright the arrows; gather the shields: the Lord hath raised up the spirit of the kings of the Medes: for his device is against Babylon, to destroy it; because it is the vengeance of the Lord, the vengeance of his temple {12} Set up the standard upon the walls of Babylon, make the watch strong, set up the watchmen, prepare the ambushes: for the Lord hath both devised and done that which he spake against the inhabitants of Babylon. {27} Set ye up a standard in the land, blow the trumpet among the nations, prepare the nations against her, call together against her the kingdoms of Ar-a-rat, Min-ni, and Ash-che-naz; appoint a captain against her; cause the horses to come up as the rough caterpillars." ******* In Him, ~~ Hollie L.
