Some Key Words for 2006: Possess and Occupy; Called to Purity; Mandated to Love; Kingdom Warriors Arising; Emerging House Church Movements; Jerusalem Needs Prayer; Potential Shifts in Government; Spiritual Revolution; and Enlargement, Expansion, and Increase.
Some Key Scriptures for 2006: The Book of Malachi; Psalm 24; Deuteronomy 8; Joshua 1:1-9; Colossians 3:1-3; 1 Corinthians 2
1. A Call to Love
A radical and specific call to walk in the power of divine love is being released from the Spirit of God to the Body of Christ in 2006. Humility, favor, blessings, glory, provision, and miracle power will be released to those who pursue love. Increased faith will accompany this move. Household salvations and restoration of relationships will follow those who respond to this invitation. Jesus said, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets."
The Lord gave me a full prophetic insight into this call in November of 2005. Although believers are always expected to walk in pure love, the Spirit is inviting the Church to a specific focus in 2006.
2. The Purifier
In 2006, the Lord will shake those things that can be shaken. Jesus will manifest as a purifier of His Body. The book of Malachi will be key for believers in 2006. The Lord will deal with the weaknesses and sin in His people that are holding them back from fullness. He will come to cleanse and purify. The fire and the blood will be significant.
The Visitation of the Angel Purity
In December 2005, our producer Shirley Ross was visited by an angel called Purity. Purity is a white eagle with piercing, fiery eyes, and yet, it is soft, gentle, and dove-like in nature. Shirley also saw a golden ring that Purity carried. It was a ring of power and protection, and it was placed around individuals and groups who chose the virtue of purity. I was present during the visitation and also felt the presence of Purity at that time, although I did not see it.
I heard three words in my spirit: Expose, Sift, Analyze. I felt the Lord say that He will expose things that need to be exposed in His children's hearts and lives. Nothing will be left unexposed. For those that submit to His convictions and dealings, there will be new levels of authority and grace that follow. He will sift so that only the pure will remain, and He will analyze.
"Every man's ways are right in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the hearts." -Proverbs 21:2
The angel Purity returned the next day and the day after. I saw the vision of this being during the two days and also felt the softness of its breast feathers on one occasion. We met with our team artist Ruthann Fryer and commissioned her to paint the vision of this angel.
Heavier Weights of Conviction
Jesus is known in Malachi as the Purifier. He is calling His people to higher levels of purity in 2006. Things that individuals were not convicted of in 2005 will carry conviction in 2006. This will come by the Spirit and not by legalistic rules.
As this call to purity rises, there will be increased measures of toleration for sin and worldly-mindedness within parts of the Church too. Good will be called evil, and evil will be called good. The deceitfulness of sin will attempt to fill the minds of some believers, thus producing unaddressed compromises.
The nature of deception is that when you are in it, you do not know it. Strong relational accountability will be needed to help avoid the pitfalls that come with deceptive doctrines and mindsets.
"I have this against you, that you tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, and she teaches and leads My bond-servants astray so that they commit acts of immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols." -Revelation 2:20
"Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world." -1 John 2:15-16
Polarization
It is important in 2006 that believers stay clear of destructive compromise. There will be some severe tensions over this in the New Year to a point where division and separation will come in some Christian circles as a result. Those who are committed to purity will stand strong in their convictions, and those who are giving tolerance to worldly mindsets will promote and defend their beliefs. These two parties will be polarized.
Deceitful last-day's doctrines will attempt to be birthed into the minds of believers that will give license to lustful and worldly pleasures. Confusion will come to some as supernatural visions, revelations, and even some scriptures will be used to support the doctrine. These doctrines will seem right to some, but the end will be destruction. They will fall away from the truth as a result.
"Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life." -Galatians 6:7,8
"There is a way which seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death." -Proverbs 14:12
The Whole Counsel of God
The Lord is calling His people to stay closely aligned to the truth within the scriptures and to meditate on the whole counsel of God. Many believers will be led to read through the whole Bible again in 2006 (especially the New Testament.) This will be used to fortify their faith and help them stand for purity and righteousness.
"How can a young man keep his way pure? By keeping it according to Your word. With all my heart I have sought You; Do not let me wander from Your commandments. Your word I have treasured in my heart, that I might not sin against You." -Psalm 119:9-11
Advocates for Morality and Justice
As part of the Lord's call to purity in 2006, there will be individuals who will be raised up as advocates for morality and justice. The Lord will grant strategies that will allow them to call forth righteous foundations in their nations. The younger generation especially will be involved with this. Their message will be opposed by many, even like in the days of Elijah, but the Lord will strengthen them to stand firm. Their message will be soaked in love, faith, and compassion, but it will be delivered with the spirit of conviction.
Holiness Revivals
Like the revivals of old, the Lord is calling for His anointed revivalists in 2006. There are young men and women right now who the Lord is raising up as righteous advocates for the Kingdom of God. Some of them are still in obscurity. They are being seasoned by spending time in His presence. They are a humble company--and yet, radical and zealous. The zeal of the Lord consumes them. They will be marked through a holy conviction that comes through their message of love and truth. They will also be noted for the amazing displays of Kingdom power, signs, and wonders through their consecrated lives. They are not afraid to go into the dark places to bring the light.
This emergence of this company of revivalists must be birthed through prayer. Many intercessors will find themselves groaning for the coming forth of this righteous company. Just like Anna the prophetess, many prayer warriors will not leave their posts until they see the manifestation of these revivalists. Even creation will groan for the coming forth of this company.
"For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God. . . For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now." -Romans 8:19,22
3. Kingdom Warriors
In 2006, there will be a new level of spiritual confrontation and combat. Psalm 24 will be a key passage. Jesus Christ, the King of Glory, will reveal Himself as the Lord, mighty in battle.
Visitations of warrior angels will be evidenced by many. These warrior angels will aid believers in their fight against evil and will battle in the heavens on behalf of righteousness. They will be released into their assignments through the prayers of the saints and through the confession of the Word of God.
"Bless the Lord, you His angels, mighty in strength who perform His word, obeying the voice of His word!" -Psalm 103:20
Men and women of God who have been faithful to stand on the authority of the Word of God in the past will find new levels of authority manifest through their lives in 2006. Their breakthroughs will come much quicker, and some victories will even manifest within minutes following the Word being declared.
Great Warriors Wielding the Sword
Great warriors who know how to wield the sword of the Spirit will arise in 2006. These warriors will impart courage to others in the Body of Christ and will model fearlessness just like David did when he fought Goliath.
I saw a vision of a sword, coming out of the sheath of the Lord. It is a sword sharpened to slaughter, and it is polished to flash like lightning. This sword is to cut off all the works of the enemy, as well as the works of the flesh. It must be wielded.
"Be silent, all flesh before the Lord, for He is aroused from His holy habitation." -Zechariah 2:13
4. House Churches
More house churches and house church movements will spring up in the New Year. Some of these will be launched due to the clear word of the Lord. Others will be planted due to rebellion and unresolved offenses in the hearts of wounded Christians. The churches planted with pure motives will succeed, and the others will be short-lived and potentially cause division and pain in the Body.
The Lord will highlight the relational dimension of His Kingdom in the house churches, and many will be saved in and through them. The Lord, however, is not replacing other expressions of His Church through this avenue, but He is, in fact, adding new dimensions.
5. Increased Visitation of the Lord in Jerusalem, as Well as Increased Conflict
I saw angelic messengers in the form of men walking the streets of Jerusalem. They were marking certain areas (store fronts, homes, and portions of streets) with red paint, which I believed to indicate the blood of Christ. This was in preparation for visitations of the Lord in those places where the crimson blood was painted. Increased appearances of Christ and angelic hosts will be seen in Jerusalem and in other parts of Israel.
Israel will continue to be an area of conflict and crisis in 2006, and much prayer will be needed for the peace of Jerusalem.
6. Potential for Righteous Governments and Judicial Systems to be Established.
There is great potential for righteous governments to be set in place in western nations, between 2006 and 2008, but it is very important for the Church to take its place in fervent intercession. A number of Christians who had no previous ambition for public service will be specifically called into the political arena in 2006.
As the Church prays for the unrighteous deeds performed in secret to be brought into the light, exposure will come. The judicial systems of nations will come into righteous alignment, as the Body of Christ continues in passionate supplication and intercession. Prayerlessness at this hour will be a fatal error.
7. Possess and Occupy
The year 2006 is the year to possess promises. In Joshua 1, the Lord commands Joshua to take courage and move forward to possess the promise of the Lord. Many Christians will move forward in faith to lay hold of past prophetic words that have yet to be fulfilled.
Numerous believers will increase in their purchase of lands, houses, and buildings. Many will inherit lands and estates in 2006, and some will inherit from unexpected sources.
It is a year to move into promise. Deuteronomy 8 will be significant.
8. Expansion
The new year is a year to dream big, although there will be some things in the natural that will tend to tempt people to minimize their vision. Believers must keep their focus on the greatness of God and His ability to do anything. Nothing is impossible with God.
"Now unto Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly beyond all we could ask or think according to the power that works within us." -Ephesians 3:20
Those who soak in the glory of God and believe in His abiding presence will increase and enlarge beyond expectation. Things will grow quickly in 2006. Many will reap one hundred fold return in one year from all that they sow into good ground in the Kingdom.
9. Defined Apostolic Movement
True apostles will be more defined in 2006. They will be marked by their humility, faith, kingdom authority, power, and signs and wonders. There will be a further settling as to apostolic structures as theological adjustments move into place concerning the multi-faceted definition of this gift and calling.
Greater numbers of individuals in the Body of Christ will become "apostolic" according to the pattern in Matthew 10.
"Jesus summoned His twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every kind of disease and every kind of sickness. . . And as you go, preach, saying, the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons, freely you received, freely give." -Matthew 10:1,7,8
"And with great power the apostles were giving testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus and abundant grace was upon them all." -Acts 4:33
10. The Spiritual Revolution
In 2006, more and more believers will be hungry to lay hold of Kingdom perspectives and experiences. Spiritual terms and language will become more common. Individuals will be raised up to bring more understanding, pastoring, and instruction in the operations of the unseen Kingdom dimension.
Unsaved people are going to search for spiritual fulfillment with increased persistence. The Church must be ready to give them the truth concerning their spirituality.
The surfacing of hunger for the unseen realm will cause some increased conflict within the Body, but more and more believers will be open to the counsel of the Word on the subject. Here are some more scriptures to meditate on: 1 Corinthians 2; Colossians 3:1-3.
