New Waves of Revival Fire
Keith Miller
The Lord is releasing a new, deeper level of revival anointing. Are you ready to catch the wave? In our meetings, we're riding the wave of a greater dimension of God-His presence, His power, and His prophetic flow, especially in the past few months. How about you; are you ready for an intense new level of revival anointing . . . have you caught the new wave of revival fire?
Set the wave in motion through a time of fasting and prayer. Set your course for holy pursuit because the Lord wants to bring increase. Set your sight toward a deeper dimension of the knowledge of Him.
During my own time of pressing in, I had prophetic encounters with the Lord, and Holy Spirit downloads for my own life and for our ministry. John 16:14 tells us that the Holy Spirit will reveal what the Lord is doing: "He will honor and glorify Me, because He will take of (receive, draw upon) what is Mine and will reveal (declare, disclose, transmit) it to you" (AB). I sense the Lord's increase of a new, deeper dimension of Him we've not known before.
Holy Spirit Hunger
I felt a great inner depth of Holy Spirit hunger swell in me. I cried out, "Lord, what You've done is awesome; I'm so grateful for all You've done, but Lord, I feel a deep and growing hunger to see You beyond anything I've ever experienced, read, or heard about. My heart and soul cries out for a level of You that we've not seen before!"
King David wanted to break into a greater dimension of the Lord, too, and he cried out to God:
"O God, You are my God; early will I seek you; my soul thirsts for You; my flesh longs for You in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water. So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, to see Your power and Your glory. Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise You. Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name. My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness, and my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips" (Ps. 63:1-5).
The Lord heard my cry, and during this time of holy pursuit, I was caught up before the throne in a prophetic encounter. I was in awe of Him; deep called unto deep, and every fiber of my being felt alive and sensitive to His presence. In Revelation 1:15, John shared about his prophetic encounter with the Lord and said that His voice was like the sound of many waters.
As the Lord spoke to me, it was like He released in my inner man, wave after wave of an incredible depth of love and adoration beyond what my human mind could comprehend.
As I beheld Him on the throne, I saw Him in a level of power that I had never seen before. Scripture describes the Lord on the throne as power! "Jesus said to him, 'It is as you said. Nevertheless, I say to you, hereafter you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming on the clouds of heaven'" (Matt. 26:64).
As we behold Him, we are transformed into His likeness:
"But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Cor. 3:18).
And then God releases His power, as we see here in Acts 10:38, where Peter speaks of "how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.
Prophetic Impartation and Strategies
In my encounters, I saw a new wave of His power as He released power mantles on believers all over the world. This was the same "wave" as described in Hebrews 2:4: "God also bearing witness both with signs and wonders, with various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit according to His own will." He spoke a word to them (apostles), and it became prophetic impartation that was like fire in their bones. With the impartation came prophetic strategies for city, state, and also national impact. They spoke the Word with great intensity and ministered with great authority and power; and the masses of humanity turned and took notice of the Word and the anointing.
I saw the Lord impart fresh anointings upon multitudes for greater releases of miracles, signs, wonders, and healings in the mighty name of Jesus. In the book of Acts the disciples received an anointing of power to speak the Word of the Lord with boldness and to see signs, wonders, and healings done in the mighty name of Jesus. It started in Acts chapters 2 and 3 when a divine explosion breaks out and a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit takes place..
However, in Acts 4:28-31, the disciples pressed in for something even greater than what they'd already experienced and witnessed. They pressed in for more boldness and greater power from the Holy Spirit-then they spoke the Word, began to move in a much greater anointing, and eventually, shook the entire ancient world.
Since my prophetic encounters, the Lord has graced us with increased levels of revival anointing in our meetings. There is a great atmosphere of anticipation and expectation; the place is literally charged with the presence of the Lord. We are seeing a greater dimension of His presence, His power, and His prophetic flow. The Lord's invasion on our four-day meetings has caused them to last for months! We've received countless testimonies of lives impacted and transformed. God has poured out a fresh hunger; there's a new anointing falling not only upon, but on the inside-a strength within.
How do we bring this type of revival to fruition? We anticipate, rise early, expect, hunger, and press in for breakthrough.
Heavenly Pursuit
Let's look at the disciples' path to revival. The Lord Jesus had promised them in Luke 24:49: "Behold, I send the promise of My Father upon you." (Acts 1:4) After Jesus' resurrection they spent forty days together speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God (Acts 1:3). In Acts 1:4, Jesus reaffirms and promises his followers something is going to happen for them-it's the Father's promise, "you have heard from Me." So, in Acts 2:1, the disciples gathered together in heavenly pursuit of the Holy Spirit.
With great expectation, they were up early awaiting Jesus' promise. They anticipated breakthrough! Not only would this breakthrough impact their own individual lives, but it would affect the cities, regions, and the nations. There they were: waiting, pressing in, and hungering after the Lord's promise. They felt it deep in their hearts-nothing would keep them from getting what was promised to them.
Have you ever just known that something special or exciting was about to happen . . . do you feel it now? Many are sensing something similar deep in the spirit-that they are on the verge of something major. I know it! We are pressing in for the promise of God-promises for our families, our ministries, our cities, our nations. The sound approaches!
All of a sudden, they hear a sound, "and suddenly, there came a sound," (don't you love it?). "Blessed are the people who know the joyful sound! They walk, O LORD, in the light of Your countenance" (Ps. 89:15). It is the sound of the breakthrough, the sound of victory, the sound of advancement. It is the sound that signifies God's presence and that something major is about to happen. The heavens opened and there was a mighty outpouring. They became carriers of open heavens.
