Spiritual Miscarriage
Ryan Wyatt
I recently had an incredible prophetic experience with God where I believe He clearly spoke to me about one characteristic of the times we are living in. He was telling me that His eyes are roaming to and fro throughout the whole earth looking to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose hearts are completely loyal to Him (2 Chronicles 16:9).
Immediately after hearing this, a hand came from the heavenlies, pulled me upward, and sat me down right before the throne of God. I looked, in astonishment, at Father God sitting upon His throne, totally engulfed in the most brilliant flame. Hebrews 12:29 was immediately quickened to me, "For our God is a consuming fire."
The Father reached His hand out from the fire and began to caress my face. He began to speak to me about holiness and setting our lives apart unto Him.
For those who will set their lives apart unto Him in intimacy, He will experientially open up the heavens over their lives and manifest His glory upon them and through them. In this atmosphere of God's fire, the heavens truly did open and the whole atmosphere changed.
I wept for over an hour as waves of His glory came rolling through the RV I was traveling in. As I left the RV, I told the worship leader there was an open heaven in there and if she would just step in she would immediately enter into a visitation with God, and it happened!
We are in a time where God is looking for those who will lay their lives on the altar and let themselves be consumed by His fire. Only God can truly set us apart unto Him and make us holy. As we completely set ourselves apart unto Him then He will open up the heavens over us and show Himself strong upon this generation through awesome miracles, signs, and wonders.
CHRIST WITHIN
God is speaking clearly in these times to His people. God is looking for a remnant of people who are totally in love with and consecrated to Him that He might place His glory upon them and see Heaven brought to earth.
Earlier this year, I released a word about how to "Birth Manifestations of the Realm of Heaven on Earth," and since that time, God has brought more clarity to me on this subject. In that word, I spoke about how Mary was chosen to bring forth the Son of God into the world in human flesh. The Holy Spirit overshadowed her and Jesus Christ was conceived within her womb.
Jesus Christ was a living, breathing, move of God. Every place he went heaven was brought forth on the earth. The Kingdom of Heaven was truly "at hand" when Jesus was on the scene. A young, virgin girl was chosen to bring this move of God forth.
In the same way Jesus Christ was conceived within Mary, He was also conceived within every born again believer at the moment of salvation, and we now have a move of God living within us.
The task and challenge of the hour is for the people of God to come into a place of such union and intimacy with the Lord that "Christ within" is released and the Glory of God is spread on the earth.
A SPIRITUAL MISCARRIAGE
One day, while brushing my teeth, of all things, I began to ask the Lord, "If we truly carry Jesus Christ, 'the greatest move of God,' within us, then why is He not being brought forth through the lives of His people?"
Holy Spirit immediately answered me and left me standing at the sink, motionless, with my toothbrush still in my mouth. I stood there for quite some time as the Lord began to download revelation into my spirit.
The Lord responded with this: "It's a miscarriage! My people are suffering a spiritual miscarriage."
"But why, Lord?" I said.
CHROMOSOMES OF HEAVEN
He responded by telling me about chromosomes.
It takes 23 chromosomes from a man and 23 chromosomes from a woman to produce a baby. A miscarriage is where something in the chromosomes is off or maybe there is not a perfect number of chromosomes, and therefore the baby is not born successfully.
In Mary's situation, she had her 23 chromosomes within her womb, but Jesus had no earthly father, so where did Jesus' Father's chromosomes come from? THE VERY DNA OF HEAVEN! The DNA of Father God, Heaven's 23 chromosomes, was implanted within Mary when the Holy Spirit overshadowed her and the Christ Child was conceived!
So, if God's people are having a spiritual miscarriage, then somehow, spiritually speaking, there is a bad mixture within the chromosomes. I remember Bobby Conner saying one time that the Lord spoke to Him audibly once and said,
"I will pour out My Spirit without measure when I have a people without mixture."
This is one of the biggest problems facing God's people in this day. God was using the analogy of chromosomes to speak to me about the mixture within the Body of Christ.
GRACE AND POWER + CONSECRATION AND YIELDED-NESS
I've already stated that Christ was also conceived within our spirit at salvation in a spiritual sense, and He now lives within us. In a spiritual way, the very DNA of heaven has also been implanted within us, and our mission is now to bring forth the Son of God on the earth and reveal His glory.
This is Authentic Christianity: to live in intimate union with the Lord and, out of that relationship, destroy the works of the devil and manifest the realm of Heaven on earth daily.
I would liken heaven's DNA, or chromosomes, to "Grace and Power" from on high. All grace and power has already been made available to us and, in fact, already lives within us.
I would liken our chromosomes to "Consecration and Yielded-ness." The only difference between Jesus Christ in His earthly life and us is that He was completely yielded and consecrated to the Holy Spirit. When you have a perfect mixture of "grace and power" from on high and our "consecration and yielded-ness" then you have a worldwide move of God!
But instead, the church today is consumed with a mixture of the world and its systems in the midst of our relationship with God. If we can get the mixture of the world out and have clean hands and a pure heart then we will see the Lord and reflect His glory!
THE PRIESTHOOD
Many of us want to rule and reign as "overcoming kings" but, first, we must learn to be "consecrated priests."
The King is the one who administrates and wields the power and authority of the Kingdom. This would be the anointing for miracles, signs and wonders, and powerful decrees that shift and change things in the heavenlies and the natural realm. However, before we operate in the anointing of kings we must first learn to function as priests of the Lord.
The Bible says that we are both priests and kings.
1 Peter 2:9-10
"But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; for you once were not a people, but now you are the people of God; you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy."
Revelation 1:6
"And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen."
I want to focus on the life of a priest for a moment, because I believe this is where the mixture is coming in.
The priests in the Old Testament were from the Tribe of Levi. The whole Tribe of Levi was called out and set apart by the Lord to serve Him as priests. The life of the priest was to look totally different from the lives of other people in Israel. When an Israelite came across a priest, they knew right away because their lives were so totally different.
We are now the royal priesthood of God, and our lives, in a spiritual sense, should line up with those of the Old Testament. I'm not saying we are to follow all the forms and rituals that Old Testament priests followed, but I do believe we are to have the same heart as the Old Testament priests.
The heart I'm speaking of is one of total abandon to the Lord, with no mixture of the world.
NO MIXTURE OF THE WORLD
The priests were to have nothing of the world in them. Their lives were to stand for "Holiness Unto The Lord."
Do you know what holiness means? It means set apart. We also are to have nothing of the world in our hearts.
Now, obviously, we live in this world every day so it's impossible not to be a part of it; but what I'm saying is that nothing of the world should have a place within our hearts and our relationship with God. Look at this scripture:
1 John 2:15-17
"Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
"For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever."
Notice this verse mentions three major sins: The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. I believe you can fit every sin of the world in one of these three categories. In the scripture above, John lists these three categories of sin as being totally of the world.
MIXTURE CAME IN THE BEGINNING
Before the fall, Adam and Eve were enjoying 24-hour God-consciousness in the Garden of Eden. They were living in the place of face-to-face relationship with the Lord. How awesome is that?
What did the devil do to come and ruin it all? He tempted them with mixture. Adam and Eve were totally satisfied with the Lord and His presence, and then Satan came in the form of the serpent and offered them some of the fruit of the world. He tricked them into taking part in the three sins of the world, mentioned in the scripture above in 1 John.
Let's read it in Genesis 3:6;
"When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate."
Eve saw that the tree was "good for food" which is the lust of the flesh. She saw that it was a "delight to the eyes" which is the lust of the eyes. Finally, she saw that the tree was "desirable to make one wise" which is the pride of life.
As soon as they took of the fruit and ate, the mixture of the world came in, and they lost their close fellowship with God. This is what is happening in the Body of Christ today. We want to rule and reign as overcoming kings with the power of God, but we haven't learned to live a life of intimacy, consecration, and yielded-ness as consecrated priests. We have too much mixture.
The priests were called to serve God with their entire life. They were not to wrap God around their lifestyles. God was to be their lifestyle!
TENDING THE FLAME
The priests were called to do many things in the daily duties of the temple and serving the people, however, I only want to focus on one of those things right now.
The priests were called to "tend the flame":
Exodus 27:20-21
"And you shall charge the sons of Israel, that they bring you clear oil of beaten olives for the light, to make a lamp burn continually. In the tent of meeting, outside the veil which is before the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall keep it in order from evening to morning before the LORD; it shall be a perpetual statute throughout their generations for the sons of Israel."
Leviticus 6:12-13
"And the fire on the altar shall be kept burning on it. It shall not go out, but the priest shall burn wood on it every morning; and he shall lay out the burnt offering on it, and offer up in smoke the fat portions of the peace offerings on it. Fire shall be kept burning continually on the altar; it is not to go out."
Tending the flame is significant to us as the priests today, because I believe that, prophetically, it symbolizes tending the flame of our relationship with God daily. The two scriptures above speak of tending the lamp and tending the fire on the altar. Every morning the priests were to put fresh wood on that altar to ensure that the flame didn't weaken in any way but continued to burn bright. They were to keep the lamp burning continually and never let it go out.
This is part of our problem in the church today. Many Christians only tend their lamp and stoke their fire on Sundays when they go to church. But we're supposed to be tending our lamp and stoking our fire every morning and all throughout the day. This is the difference between wrapping God around our lifestyle and God BEING our lifestyle!
ELI VS. SAMUEL
God is raising up a people who will be totally consecrated and yielded to Him with their entire lives. The people of the world are yearning and looking for something real and supernatural in their life.
The problem is that the people of the world are not coming to the church to experience it. They are throwing their money away to psychics and fortune-tellers just to fill that desire to hear and feel something from the supernatural realm. Every person on the earth was born with what I call a big, "God-shaped hole" in their heart, and people will search their entire lives to find something to fill that void. We were born with a desire to see the impossible in our lives be made possible.
We, as the Body of Christ on this earth, must take hold of our inheritance and share it with the world. Our inheritance is none other than God Himself (Ezekiel 44:28); and when we rise up and begin to live as true priests, with God at the center of everything, then we will begin to rule as kings and become carriers of God's glory!
The church today reminds me of the days of Eli and Samuel in
1 Samuel 3:1-4:
"Now the boy Samuel was ministering to the LORD before Eli. And word from the LORD was rare in those days, visions were infrequent. And it happened at that time as Eli was lying down in his place (now his eyesight had begun to grow dim and he could not see well), and the lamp of God had not yet gone out, and Samuel was lying down in the temple of the LORD where the ark of God was, that the LORD called Samuel; and he said, 'Here I am.'"
In the days of Eli, the word of the Lord was rare and there was no widespread revelation. In other words, the priests were not hearing from God and therefore neither were the people of Israel.
Why were the priests not hearing from God? Because the mixture of the world had crept into the lives of the priesthood. Let me be blunt for a moment: Eli's sons were sleeping with the women of Israel right outside God's temple and Eli did nothing about it (1 Samuel 2:22).
All throughout the Old Testament we see God saying to Israel, "'You have played the harlot with many lovers; Yet return to Me,' says the Lord." (Jeremiah 3:1b)
We are to have only one Lover in our life and that is to be Jesus Christ! Yet, today, we still have the same problem as Israel did in the days of Jeremiah. God's people are settling for "lesser lovers" rather than fully embracing the One Supreme Lover of our souls!
MIXTURE CAUSES A FAMINE OF THE WORD OF THE LORD
This issue of mixture in the church is causing a famine of the word of the Lord in the Body of Christ. However, just as in the days of Eli, God is raising up the Samuels of today. There is a remnant of people who are not letting their lamp grow dim nor their fire go out. They are fully embracing the King of Glory as their one Supreme Lover and stoking that fiery love in their hearts everyday!
In 1 Samuel 3:3 it says that the lamp of God was just about to go out, and that is the reason why Eli was no longer hearing God. He had become desensitized to his relationship with God as a priest, called to keep the fire of love burning.
Samuel was just a young boy, but his life symbolized consecration. His mother, Hannah, made a vow before Samuel was ever conceived in her womb, that if God would give her a son she would offer him to the Lord to serve in the temple all of his life. God granted that request and raised up for Himself a man who would be totally consecrated as a priest, and, therefore, throughout Samuel's life, God let none of Samuel's words fall to the ground (1 Samuel 3:19).
God is again, today, looking for that remnant that will fully consecrate their lives to Him, in love. This remnant of overcomers will come into such a place of union with the Lord, that when they speak and declare a thing, it will be established and God will let none of their words fall to the ground because they are speaking His words. This is where God is taking us!
"CHOOSE THIS DAY WHOM YOU WILL SERVE"
I believe there is a clear "distinction" that God is bringing to what I call, the "institutional church." My definition of the institutional church would include every denominational and non-denominational church anywhere in the world that claims to worship Jesus Christ as the Son of God.
I believe that within the institutional church there is a remnant of people that are truly born-again and serving the Lord. Many others have either never heard the gospel, because it's never actually preached in their church services, or they are just nominal people that believe they are going to heaven simply because they go to church on Sundays, or even just on Christmas and Easter -- or maybe just because their Grandma went to church!
There is a challenge being issued from the Throne of God in this hour much like Elijah's challenge on Mount Carmel. The challenge is: "Choose this day whom you will serve!"
The darkness and evil in the world is getting darker, so therefore the glory of the Lord and the light of Heaven on the earth is going to get brighter! God is pouring out His glory and power on that remnant of faithful overcomers who press through the spirit of the world and truly touch God in supernatural ways.
We see this illustrated in Ezekiel 44:10, 13:
"But the Levites who went far from Me, when Israel went astray, who went astray from Me after their idols, shall bear the punishment for their iniquity. And they shall not come near to Me to serve as a priest to Me, nor come near to any of My holy things, to the things that are most holy; but they shall bear their shame and their abominations which they have committed."
In the scripture above, we see a group of Levites, which were the priests, who had left the Lord's side. Actually, the truth is, these priests probably never truly served the Lord with their whole heart, because as soon as tribulation came, they went astray. And God says of these priests that they will not come near Him or near His holy things, nor into the Most Holy Place. Why? Because their hearts were far from Him.
Those who are not truly serving and living for the Lord in their hearts, but rather just living a life of lip service, will never actually touch the holy things of heaven.
ZADOK PRIESTHOOD
What are the holy things of heaven? Face-to-face encounters with the Lord, heavenly experiences, the presence of God, wisdom, secrets and mysteries of heaven made clear, the peace of God, and the power and glory of God resting on our lives, and much more...
However, during this time in Ezekiel's life, there was a remnant of priests, or Christians, that did not stray from the Lord but continued to press in and tend the lamp of God in their lives. These priests were called the priests of Zadok:
Ezekiel 44:15
"'But the Levitical priests, the sons of Zadok, who kept charge of My sanctuary when the sons of Israel went astray from Me, shall come near to Me to minister to Me; and they shall stand before Me to offer Me the fat and the blood,' declares the Lord GOD."
God says that these priests will be the ones who come near to Him, minister to Him, and partake of the divine nature and the holy things of heaven. This is the distinction that God is bringing to His "Body" on the earth.
In these times, it will become more and more evident who the true followers of Jesus are, because their hearts will be awakened and a renewed passion will come upon them to seek God's face and touch Him afresh.
Look at what's available to these faithful priests:
Ezekiel 44:16, 24
"They shall enter My sanctuary; they shall come near to My table to minister to Me and keep My charge...And in a dispute they shall take their stand to judge; they shall judge it according to My ordinances. They shall also keep My laws and My statutes in all My appointed feasts, and sanctify My Sabbaths."
Zechariah 3:7
"Thus says the LORD of hosts, 'If you will walk in My ways, and if you will perform My service, then you will also govern My house and also have charge of My courts, and I will grant you free access among these who are standing here.'"
These priests are granted free access into the courts of the Lord. Where are the Courts of the Lord? God's courts are in heavenly places before His throne. For those who will overcome the spirit of the world every day and press into God, He will grant that they come into the courts of the Lord. Revelation 4:1 is a "now" word for these times as God is telling us to "Come up here" and meet with Him.
When we spend time standing in the council of God, in heavenly realms, we can then bring that atmosphere of heaven back with us and impact the people of the world with God's glory.
PRIESTS MINISTER PRECIOUS THINGS OF HEAVEN
Why does God grant free access to His throne to the priests who truly serve Him with all their hearts? For no other reason than to experience intimacy with Him! However, out of this heavenly lifestyle of intimacy with God, we get to carry the atmosphere of heaven to others that they might experience Him.
Ezekiel 44:23
"Moreover, they shall teach My people the difference between the holy and the profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean."
The presence of God that He wants to pour out on His people will convict others of their sin and draw them to Him. Only those who truly encounter God can teach others how to encounter Him.
THE FLOW OF HEAVEN MUST NOT BE HINDERED
God says that we, as His priests, are to teach others the difference between the holy and the profane, but he gives a condition with those instructions.
Ezekiel 44:21
"Nor shall any of the priests drink wine when they enter the inner court."
Leviticus 10:8-11
"The LORD then spoke to Aaron, saying, 'Do not drink wine or strong drink, neither you nor your sons with you, when you come into the tent of meeting, so that you may not die -- it is a perpetual statute throughout your generations -- and so as to make a distinction between the holy and the profane, and between the unclean and the clean, and so as to teach the sons of Israel all the statutes which the LORD has spoken to them through Moses.'"
Prophetically speaking, I believe the wine symbolizes the numbing effect of the world. I am not talking about the natural drinking of wine or whether I believe that's acceptable for Christians or not. I'm not even sharing my opinion on it but rather pulling out what I believe is the prophetic meaning. I believe "wine" here speaks of anything of the world that would numb us to the presence and voice of God.
God says not to drink wine, or in other words, "Have no mixture of the world in your relationship with Me, because it will numb you to My presence and My voice and therefore hinder heaven's flow in your life."
THE FIRE OF GOD
I am prophesying that in this next year and in these end-times God is going to send a mass baptism of fire upon His people. We will come to understand God's fire in a whole new way. We need the fire of God! In Hebrews 12:29 our God is called a God of consuming fire. God, in His very nature, is a consuming fire. When we touch God or are touched by God we are also touched by His fire.
God's fire comes in two forms: the fire of purging and the fire of love. You cannot have one aspect of His fire without also getting the other.
Believers have a really hard time understanding the God of the Old Covenant as opposed to the God of the New. In the Old Covenant we see this God of judgment and anger, but then we are supposed to see this God of love and grace in the New Covenant. We have to understand that, in the Old Testament, God never intended to bring anger and judgment upon His people, but rather upon every "lesser lover" that hindered our love with Him.
God sees us as His wife, and when we choose the lesser lovers of the world, His judgment will come. If my wife were sleeping around with all the other men of our town, then I would want to bring judgment upon all those other men that distracted my wife from my love. This was always God's heart in the Old Testament.
We need God to touch us with His fire so that all our lesser lovers, secret sins, and idols would be consumed and all that would remain is a burning passion for Him!
FIRE OF PURGING
When God's fire comes it comes to purge out everything that hinders love.
Malachi 3:1-3
"'Behold, I am going to send My messenger, and he will clear the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple; and the messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight, behold, He is coming,' says the LORD of hosts.
"'But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner's fire and like fullers' soap. And He will sit as a smelter and purifier of silver, and He will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver, so that they may present to the LORD offerings in righteousness.'"
We say we want God to touch us but "who can endure the day of His coming?" Our God is truly a refiner's fire and He's coming to purify the sons of Levi. Who are the sons of Levi? You and Me!
But, OH, how awesome it is when God's purging fire touches our lives. Look at the benefits:
Isaiah 4:2-6
"In that day the Branch of the LORD will be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth will be the pride and the adornment of the survivors of Israel. And it will come about that he who is left in Zion and remains in Jerusalem will be called holy -- everyone who is recorded for life in Jerusalem.
"When the Lord has washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and purged the bloodshed of Jerusalem from her midst, by the spirit of judgment and the spirit of burning, then the LORD will create over the whole area of Mount Zion and over her assemblies a cloud by day, even smoke, and the brightness of a flaming fire by night; for over all the glory will be a canopy. And there will be a shelter to give shade from the heat by day, and refuge and protection from the storm and the rain."
When we allow God's purging fire to touch us, He will place a covering of glory over our lives to protect us from the spirit of the world. There is a protection when we "live" in God's purging fire!
FIRE OF LOVE
The best part about God's fire is His fire of love. When we are touched by His fire, He not only purges the dross out of our lives, but He also consumes us with the fire of holy passion!
Song of Solomon 8:6
"Put me like a seal over your heart, like a seal on your arm. For love is as strong as death, Jealousy is as severe as Sheol; its flashes are flashes of fire, the very flame of the LORD."
This verse tells us that the fire of love is actually the very flame of YAH! Oh, how I cry out from the very depths of my heart to be enflamed with the very flame of YAH! I tell you, there is NO LIMIT to how much of God we can have and experience if we will just let Him consume our lives with His fire. God is looking to pour out His glory on the people that are consumed with one desire:
Psalm 27:4
"One thing I have asked from the LORD, that I shall seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to meditate in His temple."
Song of Solomon 1:15
"How beautiful you are, my darling, how beautiful you are! Your eyes are like doves."
Do you know why the King in the verse above praises the shulamite? She is praised because she has Dove's eyes. Do you know what is so special about dove's eyes? A dove has no peripheral vision. A dove cannot see anything but what is right in front of them. Jesus was praising the shulamite because she had nothing in her vision or heart but Him and Him alone!
The people that let God touch them with His fire will be a people of ONE THING. This army of overcomers will press through the blockades of the enemy and take hold of their inheritance and manifest the power and glory of God on the earth!
EYES OF FIRE
In Revelation 1:14 Jesus is described as having eyes like flames of fire. I believe the Lord's eyes of fire are scanning the body of Christ right now. He is looking for those whose hearts are open and turned toward Him. We are in a time of 2 Chronicles 16:9:
"For the eyes of the LORD move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His."
It's the little foxes that spoil the vine (Song of Solomon 2:15), and God is looking upon those who will offer their lives afresh on the altar as a pleasing sacrifice to Him. He wants to come and burn up all the things in His people that hinder love.
You might not be involved in what people like to call "major" sins, but you might have some idols in your life that steal your time and fellowship with God. It might just be an issue of your time, schedule, or priorities. Maybe you could just start giving God a tithe of your morning or a tithe of your evening.
Or maybe there's some stubborn secret sin in your life that you have not been able to defeat for years.
I believe we're in a fresh season of God's fire and there is a grace of God that is available if we will embrace His fire and begin to live on the Highway of Holiness. Place your heart before God now and let His eyes of fire begin to search your heart and your life. Offer up to Him everything that He reveals to you. Offer up to Him everything in your life that hinders love.
HOW DO I BECOME A PERSON OF "ONE THING"?
You don't become holy by obeying a set of rules. You become holy, or set apart, by drawing close to our God who is a holy, consuming fire! By His grace, He will burn up all the junk and all the filth of the world and set you on the Highway of Holiness. He will put you in a place where you can lift up your head without shame so that the King of Glory can come in. The King of Glory comes in on the Highway of Holiness!
Do you want to receive and minister the precious things of heaven? Do you want to rule and reign as a king, carrying the power and anointing of the Kingdom of God? Then you must first become a faithful and consecrated priest! Don't allow the move of God within you to be miscarried. Set yourself on God's altar today and allow yourself to be consumed by His fire of Purging and His fire of Love!
Father, we place our lives before you now. Search our hearts with your eyes of fire and reveal to us everything that hinders total consecration and love in our lives. Reveal the areas where the mixture of the world has crept in. Come by your fire and burn out all the little foxes that spoil our vine. Burn out all the secret sins and burn out all the lesser lovers. Ignite us afresh with the very flame of YAH! May we burn for You. Set us on fire that we might run with the glory!
