I Will Show You The Way

PR 6:6 Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise!

2PE 1:19 And we have the word of the prophets made more certain, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.

"Behold, there will be new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered nor will they come to mind. Behold, look into the future and you will see that I have good plans for my people. And yet, to get to those good times, one must go through the tunnel first. For this tunnel represents many of the events that are coming upon this earth. Those apocalyptic events that are outlined in the book of Revelation are soon to follow. So, take provision for those days. How would one plan for famine? How would one plan for an economic collapse? How would one be prepared? Before the cold weather comes the squirrel gathers his nuts. Consider all the work that an ant does. If nature knows these things then how can my people be devoid of understanding? "

"I tell you that I will be a lighthouse to my people during those dark days. You won't have to grope in the darkness. But the spirit of this age has blinded many of my people. Many cannot see and many will not know of these dangers. And yet, if someone told them, would they believe them? Those that I've called as my prophets will show the way. They will point out the path to take. But will you listen to them or will you go on your merry way? For if you do, then you will prosper. I will give you the understanding, and I will shed abroad my light. "

The Present Battle You Are Facing

Stephen Hanson

(I thought I might send this out. A friend of mine reminded me about this word concerning Saddam, and I believe that it's good to follow some of the prophetic messages that are out there to see if they actually do come to pass. God is faithful and He will bring His word to pass if it is from Him.)

Oct. 5, 2002

"This nation will be propelled into war. The events that are leading up to the decisions of the United States will be clearly seen by all. There will be ramifications of this decision. For this nation will face a myriad of things because of it. The ruthlessness of this leader and his persistence to carry out his crime, will test the people of the United States more than anything it has yet faced. The fortification of buildings and the strength of your resolve will not save you. But there is a strength and a resolve that will run much deeper than this."

"Your high tower will not be your nation but it will be Me, says the Lord. Through sorrow and through grief, you will still be sustained. You America have stood the tests of many things. Even though you have been ravaged you will not fall. You will spring forth from the ashes of this war. You will not be utterly cast down, says the Lord. But there will be captivity given to those who have gone into their country."

"The land of ancient Babylon will fall, says the Lord, and this ruler will come unto captivity as well. But even as this ruler falls there will be others who rise up. In the mist of the turmoil and in the midst of the bloodshed, there will be alliances formed with new partners. You will know who your friends are and you will know who your enemies are as well. You will know those you can trust. You will know those nations by their standards, says the Lord."

"Oh America, you are a nation that has faced many wars, but this one will propel you into many things. You will not escape the onslaught and you will not escape the crisis, but you will rise above it. And it will come unto a great end, the great end of the ages, says the Lord. And it will be the end of all wars at that time, says the Lord. That will be the end of all suffering and that will be the end of all pain. And you America, will be sustained through the battle, says your God. You will be found in freedom after this. You will not escape the sword entirely, but you will find peace afterwards."

The Power Of The Resurrection

Stephen Hanson

(A teaching)

It is said that if we do not believe in the resurrection from the dead then our faith is in vain. I stand in agreement with this statement and belief as well. But of equal importance is the realization that we as believers have that same resurrecting power "within us." To understand this we must first realize the awesome power that was at work when Christ was raised from the dead. This is the same power that was at work when the heavens and earth were first created. I recently saw a program concerning the Shroud of Turin, (the supposed burial cloth of Jesus that has undergone intense scrutiny over the last several years.) It mentioned how a great power, or electricity, was seen in the folds and fabric of this cloth. With the use of some very sophisticated machinery, one could see arcs and peaks in the image of Christ that was imprinted upon the cloth. It was pointed out that these types of images could only be wrought under a great surge of power like electricity. Quite an astounding thing.....

The power to turn-on entire regions and areas of electricity in the United States is a very strong force. We saw the evidence of this as much of the northeastern section of the U.S. lost power this past Summer of 2003. But this power that was at work then, or that failed to work then, pales in comparison to this resurrecting power that I am speaking of now.

We are told that if we have "died with Christ then we shall certainly be raised with Him. " Now I believe that this scripture has a two-fold message for us. Not only will we be raised and find eternal salvation with Him, but I believer that we are raised to partake of His resurrecting power now. Consider that we are told in Col. 1: [27] To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. If indeed, then He is "in us" then we partake of ALL those things that are "in Him." Should it be any surprise then that we could move mountains? Should it be questioned that we could heal the sick, "in HIs name," or do any of the things that He did while He was upon the earth physically? We can do ALL things through Him who strengthens Me. Now, don't get me wrong here, I'm not saying that we can do any of this on our own. Apart from Him we can not nothing. I'm also not saying that having His resurrecting power "in us" is more important than love or forgiveness, or of exhibiting Christ's character. Being conformed to His image is of paramount importance and cannot be something that we would ever dismiss from our Christian lives. However, I believe that many are perhaps unaware of what has been given to us through the resurrection of Christ. Is resurrection then just to be something that we consider like a life insurance policy? Is it something that we consider we will only possess when we are raised to be with Christ in the future? If the answer to this is yes then we have missed out on what He has given to us greatly.

Lastly then, we are told then in Eph. 1: [18] I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, [19] and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength, [20] which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, [21] far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. [22] And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, [23] which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.

Many of the children's toys and probably several adult gifts, cannot work unless a battery is inserted within them. In the same token, we have the gift of Christ. It won't work properly or fully though, unless we plug it in or have the batteries of the Holy Spirit inserted. Then the juices will flow. Then everything will function fully as it was meant to. And then we will "keep going, and going, and going."
