The scripture reveals historic signs, which reveal present truth. We know by Isaiah 8:18 that we ourselves can be considered signs and wonders in the earth. Who can deny the signs all around us seen in changed lives through rebirth, and the transformation which is promised to believers who renew their mind to the things of God?

Then there are those signs revealed through the acts of the infant Bride, chronicled in the book of Acts, and believers throughout the ages. The spirit of prophecy is the testimony (a sign which bears witness) of Jesus, whose words are spirit and life. Dreams and visions, also promised to us, bear witness of truth to the viewer of such. But, symbols in dreams and visions must be interpreted and articulated in such a way to share the fullness of their meaning with others.

Luke 21:11 says, "and there will be great earthquakes, and in various places plagues and famines; and there will be terrors and great signs from heaven." Acts 2:19-20 says, "And I will grant wonders in the sky above, and on the earth beneath, blood and fire and vapor of smoke. The Sun shall be turned into darkness, and the Moon into blood, before the great glorious day of the Lord shall come." Any modern news report will verify the present happenings of many of these prophecies. Famines are presently severe in Africa and North Korea. Plagues and "terrors" are upon the earth as well. Wars and rumors of wars abound. It may be true that "as things have been, so they shall be", but in what heavenly season are we in currently? We are promised the gift of the Holy Spirit, and that He will tell us that which is to come. He is the Discerner of the times and seasons, and He empowers us as the sons of Issachar for such a time as this.

Interestingly, 2003 will see the planet Mars closer to earth than any time in recorded history. Our planets' orbits will carry us closer than we've been in over 5000 years. During a portion of 2003, Mars will outshine all heavenly bodies at night, except the Moon. Mars also "happens" to be the name of the Greek god of war. We will experience 2 lunar eclipses during 2003, in which the Moon should appear to be a "coppery red" in color. There are many other heavenly highlights to come, according to the January 2003 issue of "Discover" magazine. Additionally, we recently were told that the first Israeli astronaut launched into space, along with the U.S. crew of the space shuttle Columbia.

It was announced last week that the 5th book in the Harry Potter (HP) series will be released globally on June 21, 2003. What does this have to do with discerning signs in 2003?

LET THIS BE A SIGN UNTO YOU: "WINDS OF WAR"

The following is a description of a dream I had in 1999. I sent a detailed description to Generals of Intercession, at the time. I also posted a shortened version on propheticnetwork.com on 8/12/01 (about 1 month before the 9/11 terrorist attack on the U.S.).

The dream: I saw a large volume of wind coming across the Atlantic Ocean to North America from England. This "wind" was clear and possessed 8 spirits. This wind was ahead of the 2nd wind, which was forming somewhere in North Africa, as the first wind blew. The 2nd wind was a huge storm-like wind, which was dark and cloudy, and full of some sort of power to bring physical destruction.

The Holy Spirit showed me that the first wind was 8 spirits with a strategic mission to bring down the already lowered hedge of protection in North America. The 1st spirit was the same spirit of rebellion that came to the U.S. from England, via the Beatles. The 7 spirits which followed, were more powerful than the 1st. These were spirits of withcraft coming in the guise of HP books, in the name of "LITERACY." The mission of these spirits was to bring an increase in activity of open rebellion and witchcraft in America, thus increasing sin guiltiness and further lowering the hedges of holy protection for the 2nd wind to do it's job.

The 2nd wind (and I heard "sirocco) came against the east coast of America and brought physical catastrophe upon our land. I saw devastation, but was unsure of it's nature. It may have been physical man-made warfare (nuclear, biological, etc...). It may have been natural disasters, such as hurricanes, floods, West Nile Virus, etc... I'm not sure if it was one, some or all of these things. There was definite physical devastation and loss of human life. There was also a tremendous economic impact on our country because of this destruction. End Dream.

It is easy to see much of the fulfillment of this prophetic dream, especially in light of the 9/11 occurrence, yes? But what of the rest of this dream? I later found out that there are 7 books planned in the HP series (read Matt. 12:45). Since 9/11, many have died from West Nile Virus, some from Anthrax, some from natural occurrences (tornadoes, floods, severe cold weather, etc...). There is talk of the real nuclear and biological warfare dominating news headlines.

The word "sirocco" I'd heard in the dream is Arabic for an "arid east wind out of North Africa." The root word is "sharq", meaning "east." Almost the entire gamut of difficulties surrounding the news since 9/11 has been in the eastern U.S. The Catholic priesthood debacle, the young man who flew his plane into a building in Tampa, FL, as well as the anthrax scares and deaths. Don't forget the Summer of 2001 "shark" attacks that dominated the news, just prior to the 9/11 "sharq" attacks. Also remember, the 8th Mosaic plague was carried on a "sirocco" type wind.

The Holy Spirit also revealed that the HP books would be hyped, and their spirit amplified, through the "anointing" of Oprah Winfrey. In the same spirit of Ed Sullivan (who undeniably helped launch the Beatles), Oprah's TV show and book club create overnight bestsellers, and hype the movies too. Some examples of Oprah's success stories are the Ford sisters, and Deepak Chopra, who are bestselling "new-age" authors. One of the Ford sisters is an avowed witch, according to USA Today newspaper.

*A note concerning Florida: Some of the terrorists took flying lessons in "Hollywood, FL." This is the same stronghold where the Ford sisters were from, and Clonaid held it's recent press conference about the first cloned human being. Florida was the focal point of the highly controversial 2000 Presidential election. Florida is also where the first U.S. case of "Mad Cow Disease" in humans was diagnosed (it is a brain eating disease). Just 90 miles south of Florida is Cuba, where we currently have many troops and POW's. President Bush decried Cuba as a part of the "Axis of Evil." Not coincidentally, Fidel Castro is best "buds" with President Chavez of Venezuela, from where the U.S. gets 5% of it's oil. As you may know, Venezuela has been in political and economic turmoil over the past year. I believe this adds up to serious signs for believers to intercede specifically for those in the state of Florida.*

JUST AS THE U.S. RELEASE OF THE LAST HARRY POTTER BOOK FELL ON 9/11/01, SO WE SHOULD SERIOUSLY CONSIDER THE "GLOBAL" 6/21/03 RELEASE OF THE NEXT OF THESE BOOKS. I am not predicting any catastrophe on 6/21/03, but in light of the above prophetic signs, I do not believe this "timing" should be easily dismissed.

This is a call to intercede as Moses did against the 8th plague. The result of his intercession was a WEST wind, which blew the entirety of the remaining 8th plague away. We must intercede for the people of God firstly, that they would be untouched, or minimally so if harm is to come to us. Remember, a few of the plagues touched those in Goshen, so we are not exempt. May the plans of the enemy be blunted, thwarted and diminished in every way (like "flight 93").

May mercy be continually released from our actions and words, in a flood upon our nation. May we be as wise virgins, prepared to enter in, when we are called to do so. May many believe and be strengthened unto salvation, through that which is to come. May there be physical safe havens of refuge, like modern day areas of Goshen, that the perishing may be rescued in boy and spirit. Amen.
