This morning I had a dream, and in the dream I was counseling a lady who was upset because she was a singer and was scheduled to sing, but she had a slight cold. She didn't want to sing because she couldn't sing her "best." I took her by the shoulders and shook her a little and said, "When your 'best' is not available, then what you do have available is acceptable as your 'best'." This same scene was repeated twice, and I woke up after the second scene. Here is what the Lord has to say about our "best":

It is time to stop holding on to your excuses. They are many and they are varied, and they are keeping you from moving up into what I have for you. I didn't make a meal for 5,000 people out of nothing -- I made it out of a little boy's meager lunch. I didn't make wine out of nothing, I made it out of plain old well water. I didn't make Paul out of nothing, I had to start with Saul!

It is necessary that you give me something to work with in your life, but many of you are holding back, waiting until you can give me your "best." Your best will never be enough on it's own. It will always have to have My hand upon it to get the job done.

So stop waiting until that ambiguous, unreal future time of your "best" to let me have My way. Just give me what you have. Allow Me to take that poor thing that you consider to be unworthy of Me and watch what I will do with it. My hands can take a lump of coal and turn it into a diamond. I do it every day in what you call the "natural", and also in the spiritual.

It is also time to stop waiting until you have the "best" in equipment and materials before you will take the step of doing some things I have asked you to do. Start where you are. There IS something you can do toward that vision.

But you must be willing to do it. You must get rid of fear, which is what is REALLY holding you back, and get on with the business of My will and My work. I open the way for those who are obedient, not for those who THINK about being obedient in some distant time. If the way is not open for you, then stop and consider whether you are holding back on giving Me what you have.

Don't you trust Me? I will never let you down if you are doing My will. I have said that I am faithful, and I do not change. I have said that I will uphold you, and I will. It pains Me to see so many of you who talk the talk of faith, but have very real and deep fears that are stopping you from accomplishing my desire in and with you. Let those fears go, once and for all, and give them no more space in your life.

Fall back onto Me - I will be there to catch you. Trust Me. I love you. Let your fears go, and just trust Me. Give me what you have, whether it seems to you to be your "best" or not, and we will see what I can do with it. You will be amazed. Yes, you will be VERY amazed!
