March 1, 2002 The past few days the Lord has been bringing things to my understanding about a recent word of prophecy I received from Him. For a little while lately I had been experiencing a "silence" in the Spirit regarding current events. I knew all was well in Him and soon things would get active again, so I spent the lull tarrying. It was on the day that I heard about the slaying of Daniel Pearl, the Wall Street Journal reporter, that I sought the Lord with a saddened and angered (not at God) heart. In God's sovereign way He answered my heavy heart by showing me how this present world's strife is all about Israel. He showed me that the only way for man to attain peace in the middle east would be for the nations to ultimately side with the Arab nations and take the land of Israel by force, thus causing a new holocaust of Jews. But the saints are actually serving as a "restrainer" at the moment. At this point He gave me the following word of prophecy.

Feb. 22, 2002.
I am the Lord Almighty. It is I and I alone Who rules the nations. My anger has been stirred. And there is destruction on My mind. See. Have I not provided a window of grace for the earth? I tell you clearly, it is for my body, for the sake of the saints that I have provided this window. Do not think it will last. And when I close it, I will put a hook in the jaws of the nations and draw them to their destruction. To my body I declare, I shall give you great power and authority to preach my Word. Yes, in nations that are hostile to my Truth I will open the doors and pour out My Spirit. And then I will close the doors again. They shall close like the waters of the Red Sea that fell upon the army of Pharaoh. Shall you plunder your glory in Israel, Ishmael? Shall you obtain peace in Jerusalem, oh Gentiles? My fist is clenched, and My fury burns inside of Me. My longsuffering is over. I have declared My judgment. Ezekiel 38:4, 16, 23 Joel 1:15, 2:32, 3:2,12

This word was very hard to receive. I cried bitter tears before the Lord as He spoke to me. First I cried for the nations because of what is to come upon them very soon. But I also cried because I actually sensed the heart of the Lord as he spoke. I honestly felt like He was discouraged. He had done all He could and yet the nations still reject Him. And now He must say, "Time's up." It reminded me of the passage in the Bible when God repented that He ever made man. It was also like the time God told Samuel, "They (Israel) have not rejected you, they have rejected Me." Not only was my heart heavy, but so was His. And as His child all I wanted to do was comfort Him. I was also moved by His anger. (That probably made me cry too).

I went to the Lord at least three different times asking if this was really from Him. Each time He confirmed it. By the fourth time, He told me there is a connection between His message and the Saudi peace proposal. (I will not yet chance to predict as to how this will unfold). This blew me away because I hadn't made that connection myself. In fact, the news media did not make it a serious story until 3 days after I received this word. Then I was satisfied that the message was really from Him.

We know that the antichrist will capitalize on a window of peace in the middle east somehow, but it is only God Who will have prescribed it. Otherwise, not man, not even the devil will be able to pre-empt the next holocaust.

Abraham interceded with God over Sodom and Gomorrah for the sake of the few righteous who lived there. During these intercessions, Abraham did not deter God from His intentions to bring destruction. However, what Abraham did accomplish was to delay the inevitable. God honoured Abraham while he stood between Him and the cities. But shortly thereafter the cities were destroyed. I now understand that the body of the saints on earth at this present moment are the Abraham of that story. The Lord was very clear to me that destruction is imminent and will come suddenly. Until then we will be empowered from on high and we will see amazing things! And then who knows but that the angels of God will come and hurry us out of the way before the punishment begins!

Let's pray that the body of Christ is ONE across the globe. Let's encourage each other to be found busy at the Master's work when He returns.
