December 18, 2002:

This is a prophetic alert for the Body of Christ for the first quarter of the New Year. This first quarter is an important time frame in which we will be given the opportunity to position ourselves to receive the blessings of 2003. The Lord has some wonderful things in store for the Body of Christ in the coming year. The revelations of this next move of God will begin to unfold in January.

Satan's Strategy:

Satan is already aware of the prophetic significance of the year 2003. His strategy is to disable the Body of Christ from positioning itself through faith to receive that which is coming. He plans to do this by promoting sickness among God's people. Sickness will discourage many and remove them from a position of faith. Faith is necessary to station ourselves to receive what God is about to impart by His Spirit.

There will be various types of illnesses that will sweep across the land in the next few months. This has already begun in some places and has manifested in viruses and flu bugs. Some of these illnesses will be life-threatening.

Preventative Medicine:

We should begin now with a spiritual program that will protect us from Satan's devices. We should begin to seek God daily for divine health, and we must seek the Lord for daily impartations of His strength and wellness.

We should also make a conscious effort to avoid stress, anxiety and fear. I realize that this warning has the potential to open a door of fear. Don't allow this to happen, for God has not given us a spirit of fear. He has given us His power and love and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We must also walk in His love so that we can avoid strife and contention. Stress weakens the body's immune system.

Let us strive to stay out of sin, which gives Satan an open door through which to promote his programs. If we do sin, we should repent quickly and apply the power of Christ's shed blood. 1 Peter 2:24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness; by whose stripes you were healed.

We must enter God's rest and maintain an awareness of His presence so that we can abide in His peace and His joy. Proverbs 15:15 All the days of the afflicted are evil, But he who is of a merry heart has a continual feast.

Proverbs 17:22 A merry heart does good, like medicine, But a broken spirit dries the bones.

John 14:27 "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Don't allow Satan to press you in your circumstances by overextending your physical strength (get plenty of rest). Refuse to allow disappointment to have a place in your emotions. Disappointment and discouragement weaken your faith. Don't allow anger to work against you, and don't give in to symptoms.

Do continue to trust God for protection. Do continue to pray for the power of the Blood to cover your daily walk in which you could encounter germs. Do continue to fight the good fight of faith, believing that no weapon formed against you will prosper. Do pray for God's divine protection for yourself and your loved ones, covering them with the Blood of Christ.

If you should get sick, don't yield to the illness. Call upon the name of the Lord; our God is the Healer. Ask for an impartation of His great grace. This is His gift to the Body of Christ.

May our Great God keep you in His hand and hide you from the works of the enemy. May He continually strengthen you in the inner man. May He impart His divine health to your body. May His countenance shine upon you and His joy and peace rest upon you. May you be blessed in this season with an overflowing abundance of God's presence as you abide in unbroken fellowship with the Lord of Glory. These blessings we ask in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
