Mystery of Forever

Revelation 10:3-7

Mystery of life
You opened up my eyes
To see the glory
Of Your great love.
May my heart be Yours
Today, forevermore.
Take the love
I know today
And keep me safely
In Your arms.

I hear the trumpet
Your voice
Calling to my heart
So to You I remain
Faithfully Yours.

Mystery of life
Light of God’s design
You shine brighter
Than the stars.
Your mercy
Now is known
To every generation
You have shown
A love that reveals
The Father’s heart.

I hear the trumpet
Your voice
Calling to my heart
So to You I remain
Faithfully Yours.

"And swore by Him that liveth forever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer. But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets." Revelation 10:6-7

"Now to Him that is of power to establish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, but now is made manifest, and by the Scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith." Romans 16:25-26

"The revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began." What is the greatest mystery that could affect mankind? What mystery could change the course of a world set on fire by the lusts and desires of its own self-interests. What mystery could change a person filled with hatred and condemnation, self-loathing and misery, and cause them to stand upright with a heart full of mercy and compassion. What mystery could change addicts, adulterers, murderers, or pride filled boasters of self, and have them walk in newness of life. What could cause them to desire to turn from darkness of hatred, to the light of mercy, humility and compassion for others? What mystery could give someone a hope to know they do not walk alone, that someone walks with them that they can turn to day and night for comfort, guidance, edification, and encouragement.

Could it be the discovery of a new medicine, that would be a cure-all for many diseases, that could change the heart of mankind? Maybe the discovery of a new solar system would awaken mankind’s sleeping heart of depravity and darkness, hatred and unforgiveness? A scientific discovery so fantastic that it would renew the thoughts and actions of mankind so they would desire to show kindness to their neighbors. Desire to show mercy instead of judgment and condemnation. Perhaps a new musical sound, or dance, or an actor of great talent would be able to take the lost and lonely, the tired and discouraged, and give them a new heart filled with hope.

Could enlightenment, encouragement to live in peace with one another, be found in the discovery that there is still another unknown mystery to be solved? Perhaps a mystery greater than the pyramids could challenge mankind so that they would work together side by side in harmony. Maybe a culmination of many mysteries trumpeting forth all at once to the masses, would encourage mankind to walk in peace with one another. Would encourage them to lay down their weapons of destruction and work side by side for a common good.

"And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the Lord in the holy mount at Jerusalem." Isaiah 27:13

Many are perishing in the land of Assyria today, Assyria being a place of mental not physical captivity. Their captivity is far greater than where they stand geographically, physically, upon the earth. Their captivity has not been brought about, because they have not obtained information regarding a particular mystery of creation. Their captivity, the death and destruction of their soul, has been caused by their not understanding the greatest mystery available to all mankind. It is in denying the mystery of great revelation that has caused them to fall into despair, anger, and frustration. It is in denying the sovereign hand of God, that they refuse to understand the greatest mystery available to all mankind.

The day that Jesus Christ died and rose again was the day the mystery began to unfold in fullness. God had spoken to His prophets of old of the mystery of life that would call the outcasts of the world to His holy mountain, where they would find rest for their soul. He spoke of a trumpet call that would ring clear and true that would lead the lost, the weary, those without hope, to an inheritance where rest would be obtained. Where peace and safety would be theirs. He spoke of a deliverer that would conquer the destroyer, the enemy of their soul. He spoke of a sure foundation that a nation, a group of people, would be able to stand upon bearing good fruits worthy of the King. God spoke in times past in a mystery, but now through Jesus Christ, His voice speaks clearly.

Jesus Christ is the mystery that when revealed and understood can change the course of each person’s life. Lives are changed as they turn to Jesus with all their heart and soul and are filled with God’s Holy Spirit. Lives are changed as God’s Spirit moves within them, sanctifying, purifying their thoughts and actions. What held them in the darkness of unbelief will be destroyed and consumed by the brightness of the Lord, as He rises in power within their hearts and minds.

His Spirit is mighty in pulling down all strongholds of unbelief. God is able to move within lives and remove all doubts that belong in the kingdom of darkness. Sight is restored, as unbelief that veiled their eyes from seeing God in all of creation is removed. God is able to move within them and transform the way they think, act and respond to the world around them.

So many voices stand today trumpeting, declaring, that they are the way and the truth. But these heralders of present day truth mock the living God. They play songs that cater to the vanity of mankind, but do not offer eternal salvation. Their voices may be many and speak loudly, but the path they would have people follow will lead to death, eternal death. Their truth is in reality a lie that promotes self and denies the purpose and power of the blood that was shed on Calvary.

Through all the noise and confusion of self-promoting trumpeter’s of truth, God’s voice can still be heard clearly. His voice stands apart. There is a distinct sound that the name of Jesus brings about. It is the voice of truth, of God’s eternal, undying love for His creation. To those who hear and respond to the trumpeting voice of the Lord, their reward is great. While they walk the earth, God faithfully covers them in His mercy and grace. And upon their physical death, all of eternity awaits them in the fullness of God’s majesty and glory.

God’s Word spoken to the prophets of old stand true. God promised His children would stand upon the sure foundation. Jesus is the sure foundation. And as they stand upon the truth, who is Jesus, He is faithful to deliver them from the enemy of their soul. Jesus will deliver them from the darkness, where thoughts and actions have caused them much misery. Thoughts and actions once controlled by the darkness, when exposed to the light of God’s glory, to His Holy Spirit, will be transformed. Where hatred once reigned supreme, mercy and forgiveness will be established. As God’s government of truth is secured within their lives, they will be able to climb the steps of maturity. Wisdom will then reveal that anger, fear, and jealously belong in the kingdom of darkness and that love and compassion will draw them close to the Father’s heart.

Those who have been redeemed from the grave of unbelief, chosen, loved and transformed by the Holy Spirit, are those who walk in the kingdom of God’s mercy, compassion, and love. Not by works have they been saved, but by God’s good purpose and grace. But those who walk in the light of God’s truth were made for good works. Their lives reflect the light of God’s truth, and they naturally share what they have received. God’s children are not saved by works, but good works will flow naturally from them. Their very lives have become lamps that God will use to shine forth His glory. God’s Spirit transforms them into ambassadors of light. Their lives, their words and actions proclaim that God is good. Through their words and actions, God speaks to those who stand in the kingdom of darkness, who stand in unbelief.

As ambassadors of light share the gospel, God’s voice is heard going forth in power. His Word will not return void. What God has purposed, will be accomplished. Though the messengers may still have much maturing that needs to be done within their lives, it is His Word that they share that will penetrate the darkness. God’s Word spoken to those in darkness is like lightning appearing within a dark stormy sky. His Word enters the heart of one held in darkness, tossed to and fro by the storms of life, and shines forth in much power and majesty. His voice then awakens them to the mystery of Jesus Christ. The mystery, that was a secret from the beginning of the world, begins to be revealed within their lives as the Word of God pierces their hearts.

"Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; having made known unto us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He hath purposed in Himself." Ephesians 1:9

Jesus was with God from the beginning, but not until His death and resurrection, and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, would the secret of the mystery of life be understood. In the fullness of times, a time planned and purposed by God, God would bring forth His only begotten Son. Jesus, the Son of God, who was with God in the beginning, would walk the earth as a man. He was created by God to be a man who would walk the earth understanding the weakness of the flesh. He knew the many weaknesses of the flesh, yet He never gave into the darkness of unbelief. Jesus walked filled with the Spirit, His heart and mind focused on God, and had perfect victory over the flesh.

It had been purposed from the beginning of time, to keep the mystery of life a secret until all things had been fulfilled. Throughout history, God had revealed in part the depths of the mystery that man would partake of. But, until man walked filled with God’s Holy Spirit, would they begin to understand the fullness of His plan and purpose for His creation. Until they would hear the Word of truth, the gospel of their salvation: so that they believed that Jesus is the Son of God, would they be sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise. It is through the infilling of the Holy Spirit that their hearts and minds are awakened to the majesty of their redeemer. The Holy Spirit quickens the heart and mind to understand their great value. The Holy Spirit moves within their understanding, so that they realize that they are the purchased possession, which bears the praise of God’s glory.

"And sware by him that liveth forever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer: but in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets." Revelation 10:6-7

God had declared to the prophets of old, that the redeemer would restore all things as He had planned and purposed. He had His prophets proclaim that the day of salvation drew near, that they needed to repent from forsaking the living God. The Lord had His prophets declare that His children would one day dwell in the promised land of peace and prosperity. God proclaimed that when all things had been completed, He would send forth the angel of His presence to trumpet forth that the day of restoration was at hand. God fulfilled His promises through the death, resurrection of Jesus and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and has now made these promises available to all mankind.

The land of peace and prosperity is a realm where relationship with God has been restored. It is not limited to the physical realm. As God establishes His kingdom throne of authority within our lives then we are able to live at peace, no matter where our physical bodies may actually be positioned. We will see through eyes of grace and understand that all of creation bears the majesty of God. Those of kingdom inheritance will see through eyes of hope, while the world that walks in darkness is tossed to and fro by despair. The eyes of our hearts are opened to see and appreciate the truth that Jesus is our redeemer. Jesus is our redeemer who causes our souls to prosper so that we bear much good fruit, all to God’s glory. Jesus is our salvation. Through Jesus is entrance to the world without end, in Him is eternal life.

Though the Kingdom of righteousness has been available to all since the resurrection of Christ, there are still a great number of people who walk in darkness. They stand outside of God’s kingdom of mercy, unable to understand the mystery of relationship with God through Jesus Christ. God speaks to His children; there is no time to waste. Many are perishing today, living without hope. He speaks to the hearts of His children to move beyond what is familiar; to share with others what has been imparted within their lives. God says to not worry about what you will say, because He will give you the words to speak. It doesn’t matter where they are in maturity of relationship, move beyond any condemnation, and share the truth of Jesus Christ with others. God is able to complete what is started, within our lives and within the lives of others.

"But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew, for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written: "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard the things which God has prepared for those who love Him." But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit." 1 Corinthians 2:6-10

Many cannot understand the mystery of relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ. Their unbelief veils their eyes to the goodness of the one who is the creator of all existence. But when a child hears the voice of God, and hope begins to burn within their hearts for understanding, He is able to reveal to them, His mercy. The transformation begins. The mystery of life in Christ begins to unfold within their lives. His love for them quickens their hearts, igniting the fires of revival within their own lives. Repentance will be sought after. The first steps of maturity will be taken. A desire to know and understand the one they have partaken of will increase. Darkness will give way to the light. They are now drinking from the eternal wells of salvation. Strength to stand in righteousness will be gained. They will understand and appreciate that God is with them always. Ready to take them by the hand and lead them through the journey of their life in Christ.

"Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; and to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been his in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ." Ephesians 3:8-9
