If My Word Abides In You
Mark Labuschagne

This is a word for the Church of Jesus Christ, a universal word that I believe is important that we all hear.

"It is the desire of my heart that my people who are called by my name, would honour my word and do all that I have instructed them to do.

I have given my word for this purpose, that you would obey all that I have commanded, yet you do not heed this call, you do not heed the very words that proceed from my throne. You come to worship, but your hearts are far from me. Know this, I do not want you to go through the motions of worship, for even a flawless performance does not impress me, however, when you walk in the letter of my word, this I see. For it blesses me when my children humble themselves in this way and honour my word.

These are perilous times and there are many who would call me lord, but their hearts are far from me. Therefore turn from this practise, obey the very word that I speak and it shall be well with your soul.

When you come into my presence, if my word abides in you, it will be the key that unlocks the door that will bring you into my courts, the inner chamber, the place were grace and mercy abounds. Disobedience will keep you outside the palace gates, therefore I call you to respond to my word, purpose to obey my precepts, for this honours Me.

Heed my word, do all that I command, hear the voice of those who call out in the dessert". 2 Chron 20:20 "Believe in the Lord your God, and you shall be established; believe in my prophets, and you shall prosper".

The time has come for those who are called by His name, to lay down their lives, their agenda's and their ambitions and to follow Christ. We have sat in our Churches long enough, going through the motions, but our hearts are far from God.

My friend, God is not impressed with your works, He is impressed by your willingness to obey Him! Show me an obedient man and I will show you a man who has a pure heart and clean hands. This is what God will turn towards, this is the offering that he will accept. Anything else is merely excused. No wonder we are not seeing the power of God move across the earth. We have become complacent and seeker friendly, denying the power of God in us!

Let us seek the Lord while He may be found, let us come before Him with singing, let us become doers of the Word. For too long, the prophets have spoken and the Church has not obeyed. The Spoken word of God has not been adhered to, and the question is; how much longer are we going to continue walking in our arrogance and not walk in the will of Him who is calling us to obey His word?

Reach out to the Lord, seek His face while He may be found.
