For Today, I Must Stay At Your House
For many days I have felt a stirring both within me and around me. It is a renewal, an awakening. It is a hope that has not truly been alive for some time. A hope of belief that I have not waited in vain. We have not waited in vain. My friends, I sense that many are about to enter a season of unprecedented visitation from the Lord Jesus and this will become supernaturally normal. It will also be needed to continue towards the high places of and in God. It will be needed to remain in a posture of humility. To be draped in His righteousness and holiness as we have never thought possible but yearned for. We have been made for this communion and it is about to be released upon us. Believe it. It is the Fathers desire. Expect it. It is His will for you.
We have dreamed and been thrown in various prisons. But as I was prophetically spoken to recently, "They may have stolen your coat but they did not steal your dream." It may have seemed as if it, they these dreams and hopes were gone but now you will see they have not been forgotten. Remember your dreams church. Even in days like these, remember your dreams again.
We have been forged by the hand of God. Placed upon His anvil. Are you wood, pewter, silver or gold? Are you not all precious in His sight? What has been your desire, mine has been to be nothing less than gold, pure gold before Him and for Him.
In January of 2001 the Lord spoke to me from 1 Kings 3:5, "In Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream at night; and God said, "Ask what you wish Me to give to you."
I mediated on this scripture and knew that God had spoken to me, I was not just reading history. I was to pay attention to it's content. What did Solomon ask for? Wisdom. I knew that was a key. It was also something that I had been asking for for many years. I knew I should continue to ask and did. Wisdom on how to go into the presence of God and to go out. Wisdom on how to discern between good and evil.
Because of this request the Lord spoke again.
1 Kings 3: 10 through 15, "And it was pleasing in the sight of the Lord that Solomon had asked this thing. And God said to him, " Because you have asked this thing and have not asked for yourself long life, nor have you asked riches for yourself, nor have you asked for the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself discernment to understand justice, behold, I have done according to your words. Behold, I have given you a wise and discerning heart, so that there is no one like you before you, nor shall one like you arise after you. " And I have also given you what you have not asked, both riches and honor, so that there will not be any among the kings like you all your days. "And if you walk in My ways, keeping My statues and commandments, as your father David walked, then I will prolong your days."
We have been in days of formation and transformation and now we are transitioning to new places in the spirit. New places relationally. New places geographically. New places of understanding, as hope and theory will become a reality. For those that have waited upon the Lord. For those that have willingly remained hidden. For those that have been bruised by the Lord to now be those who are healed by the Lord.
We asked not for ourselves in this prolonged season of formation. We asked for Him alone. To know His ways. To discover His friendship. So that we would not after receiving God's blessing take hold of the horns of the altar and say look at what I have done, look at what I am capable of. We will not take unto ourselves the glory of the Lord. We shall remain pure in heart and intent, by His grace.
Yes, we see in this scripture that the Lord continues to speak to Solomon that he is like and will be like no other. Take this not as an elitist promotion above another. No, receive it as your value to and before the Father. You are His and you have been uniquely formed by His hand. Accept that honor and call others up to that place of absolute love from the Lord to each individual in His Kingdom. Now watch for it is about to over flow out and into the streets. The Kingdom of God is in our midst.
Today, we are entering a new day we will see and hear as Daniel. Daniel 10: 12,13, Then he said to me, "Do not be afraid, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart on understanding this and on humbling yourself before God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to your words. "But the prince of the kingdom of Persia was withstanding me for twenty-one days; then behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left there with the kings of Persia".
Putting ourselves into a God perspective we must see that we are birthing individually and corporately before the Lord God the purposes that have been fought over and that have been sought by the powers of darkness to be destroyed. But, Jesus Christ has prevailed. We must determine to push again, fast once more and pray with thanksgiving, to come through this membrane with renewed vigor. We are almost there; we are in the timing of God.
Let me impart the courage that I received today from the Lord through these following scriptures.
Luke 18: 35 through 42. "And it came about that as He was approaching Jericho, a certain blind man was sitting by the road, begging. Now hearing a multitude going by, he began to inquire what this might be. And they told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by. And he called out, saying, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!" And those who led the way were sternly telling him to be quiet; but he kept crying out all the more, "Son of David, have mercy on me!" And Jesus stopped and commanded that he be brought to Him; and when he had come near, He questioned him, "What do you want Me to do for you?" And he said, "Lord, I want to regain my sight!" And Jesus said to him, "Receive your sight; your faith has made you well."
In many ways I felt, as the Lord opened this scripture up to me today like I was reading my history. Perhaps you like me have been or have felt as if you were begging in any way shape or form to get the attention of the Lord. Not just for a moment but for some indescribable continuum of time. Way beyond superficial relationship I am talking about an infusion of God to man. A completeness, that is ongoing. I knew it was coming and in a very real way has been. But there was more. At times I felt like I was held back from touching the hem of His garment.
"Those who led the way were sternly telling him to be quiet."
Jesus are you seeing or hearing this? I would ask. I continued to cry out, I could not stop.
And then, it was time. Jesus commanded that I be brought close to Him. No one would obstruct my view or keep me away any longer. I had a place and I have known this but now it would be different than ever before. For the Lord was opening the gates to His presence. I was learning how to go in and how to come out. I was about to receive my ability to truly see Him.
"What do you want Me to do for you?" And he said, "Lord, I want to regain my sight".
They had stolen my coat of dreams but they could not steal my dreams. Now, the coat would be given to me again. The garment of His priesthood, the garment of His trust.
Please continue with me for one more encounter.
In this season of our formation have you felt small and insignificant? Have you asked, would Jesus ever visit me has He has others. I believe He is about to come to your house. Don't stop asking now, press in.
Luke 19: 1 through 7. "And He entered and was passing through Jericho. And behold, there was a man called by the name of Zaccheus; and he was a chief tax gather, and he was rich. And he was trying to see who Jesus was, and he was unable because of the crowd, for he was small in stature. And he ran on ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree in order to see Him, for He was about to pass through that way. And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up and said to him, "Zaccheus, hurry and come down, for today I must stay at your house." And he hurried and came down, and received Him gladly. And when they saw it, they all began to grumble, saying, "He has gone to be the guest of a man who is a sinner."
Friends, what has this season of formation taught us. One thing is that we are still sinners. It has reminded us that it is Jesus Christ alone who will redeem us and change us. It has brought us to the cross time and time again. We are not big in ourselves even if we may be rich in this world. We are learning to give in unrestrained ways. In many ways we have ran on ahead of others, to be with Him, to catch a glimpse of His passing by. We climb the sycamore tree in prayer. We have been willing to eat the crumbs from the table if we could only stay and remain with Jesus. It is at this place that we will engage as never before with the Lord. Get ready to receive Him gladly, for I believe He is coming and He is coming bearing gifts to increase His kingdom on this earth.
And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up and said to him, "Zaccheus, hurry and come down, for today I must stay at your house."
