I was in a chatroom nearly a week ago while we were praying for Israel and the USS Cole incident, when God opened my eyes to what He was doing with this situation.

I believe it is God's warning to the United States. A sign of what The Lord can do, or may do. (I am still unsure if this is what God IS going to do, or what God will do if things don't change within our borders.)

Let me paint the picture as I saw it.

The USS Cole. A very fine, and powerful war ship. Strong, and confident in it's own strength. Well equipped to defend itself. Having many weapons, and thick armor plating.

A small two manned boat. Nothing special. Nothing fancy.

I saw the USS Cole, representing America. Prideful, and dependent on it's own strength. Arrogant in believing that it can stand on it's own. Yet a small, two manned boat; A rogue nation; The Rod in God's Hand was nearly able to take this large war ship down. Incomparable in size and grandeur, surely this boat seemed to be as nothing to the USS Cole. Yet it has dealt it more damage than anything else ever has. They recently found out that the damage to the Cole was more extensive than they originally thought. It has taken on water on a couple different occasions. And lost power on a couple different occasions. Yet still manages to remain afloat.

I believe this is God's warning to a prideful nation. (Be it avoidable, or unavoidable.) That which we think cannot harm us, will in an instant, nearly take us down. I don't believe we will be utterly destroyed. But I believe we will be (may be) severely damaged, and brought low.

So I ask everyone...

#1- Repent. And truly be the salt of this nation, to make it more palatable to The Lord. So that maybe this can be avoided, or at least lessened.

#2- Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. It's God's will. (Isaiah 60:12 [NIV] - For the nation or kingdom that will not serve you will perish; it will be utterly ruined.) And pray that the United States is ACTUALLY NEGOTIATING PEACE! Rather than being self-serving. (This is IMPORTANT!)

#3- Pray even more earnestly that the people of the United States will turn to the one and only God of Creation. Our Lord and Savior, Jesus The Christ. I believe this nation will wake up, and turn to God someday. But the more who do so now, the less the blow will be.

On a side note. I would encourage everyone to seek God and ask Him to reveal the true intentions (and nature) of the United States governing authorities. As well as that of other nations. I have asked God to do so for myself, and He has. This world is definitely not as it seems to be.
