End Time Prophetic Vision

There is a large school cafeteria, packed with students, parents, and administrators. It is not clear whether the gathering is for a meeting or a social time, or if it is simply a break time between instructional periods. What is clear is that the administrators are quite busy lobbying for programs and building projects. The school for them has become an industry to be supported and expanded. It has an organizational life of its own. Its existence and profitability, its cash flow and task to build and become an Industry leader has made the students themselves secondary. They are the now. This is about the FUTURE.

Key to the current building project is investment by and with a company that makes Insulation Board. Seagate Insulation. Apparently the school district is going to need A lot of Seagate insulation. And the administrators are quite proud of themselves over an arrangement they appear to have made with the Seagate people. One that will be very profitable for both.

There is a wave of excitement growing behind the scenes, though, as a news release is circulated indicating that the Seagate people are not in control. The real wealth and profit and power lies in understanding and aligning with the Stargate. The headline on the release reads “The Stargate controls Seagate.” This information seems to undercut the position of the administrators, and puts the students themselves in position to move quickly, because they are able to invest in Stargate. They are not heavily invested in the wrong place.

Also, some students appear to have been involved in a demonstration or picket line of sorts as they are carrying what is left of signs…Stargate signs. The cardboard has been torn or worn off, though, as if by rain or wind or both. All that remains is the sticks, which are more like staffs now than sign handles. Shepherds’ rods.

School indicates a place in the Church and in the Spirit where learning/teaching/discipleship should be occurring. This is a school cafeteria, a place to be fed, nourished, and to spend time together with others. The cafeteria approach also seems to indicate a desire on the part of those eating there to pick and choose what food they want at any given time. There is a growing tendency in our churches to be spiritual cafeterias where people are free to pick and choose what they want or feel they need, rather than being fed and nurtured and directed. There are three distinct groups present in this cafeteria:

STUDENTS: Those new believers hungry for the word of truth and the present manifestation of God’s presence and power. Those who want to feed on the reality of the Gospel of the Kingdom of God. Those who have a disciple’s heart.

PARENTS: Those leaders in the church who have seen the fields ripe for harvest and have been seized by the Father’s passion for having their lives wrapped up in the work of discipling and being spiritual fathers and mothers.

ADMINISTRATORS: Those who have become caught up in being leaders in the organization. Their identity, their purpose, is wrapped up in the survival and promotion of the organization…the structure. And in their own vocational self-preservation. To understand these men and women, it is important to understand that they are not necessarily acting out of self-service. Many if not most are honestly convinced that the approach, the structure, the organization to which they have given themselves IS the vehicle for the will of God. And while this, perhaps, makes them more understandable, it also makes them doubly resistant to any strategic spiritual realignment which would position them to catch a new move of God for a new season.

The Church is in a season of MAJOR change. For many, it is a disorienting time. There seems at this moment to be a lack of focus and clarity, purpose and direction. There does not seem to be a clear, Spirit-led consensus as to “what we’re here for”. There is, however, a sense that we are entering into a new season, and that this is an “in between” time. Major new instruction and revelation is about to unfold.

What is clear is that the administrators are quite busy lobbying for programs and building projects. The school for them has become an industry to be supported and expanded. It has an organizational life of its own. Its existence and profitability, its cash flow and task to build and become an Industry leader has made the students themselves secondary. They are the now. This is about the FUTURE.

The students, the disciples, the spiritual sons and daughters, have become lost to the Church Industry. They are lost in the shadow of a greater “vision”, an organizational agenda and destiny and methodology. The “future” and that which is being prepared for overshadows those individuals whose needs are now and may be gone tomorrow.

The SEA in scriptural and prophetic symbology almost always represents the masses of people. Seagate Insulation, then, represents a means of insulating the Church Industry from the mass of people who will come pouring in through the gateway of the true gospel in final great harvest. Seagate Insulation represents the Church’s attempts to guide and control revival and the Move of the Holy Spirit so as to keep things orderly and manageable. Techniques for prayer and evangelism and discipleship and service. Nice orderly respectable religion that fits in its place.

There has already been a change in the heavenlies, and it is coming to pass on earth. No amount of jockeying for position, no technique or alliance, no earthly agendas or old order power structures will hold back the flood of God’s power in the coming harvest. God is raising up the students themselves because they have not invested in the earthly religious systems. Control of the floodgates of revival lies in the heavens. Open the gates for the King of Glory. Open the gates for the Spirit of God to come pouring in. Open the Stargate. The gate for the Lord Jesus. The Stargate controls the Seagate.

Some have known this, and have proclaimed it before. They have held up “signs”…”Stargate signs”. But this is a new season. The signs are no longer necessary. They are passing away with the arrival of the Wind and the Rain. What will remain is a new and more powerful sign…Rods and Staffs in the hands of the next generation. Kingdom authority and power in the hands of the Third Day Church.

September 27, 2000 The Fountain – I looked in the Spirit and saw a fountain in a central plaza. Spanish looking, like the square at the center of a city. The fountain itself was broad and circular, with a high and ornate tower in the center. I knew that it drew its water from the deep, shot it high into the air, and collected it in its wide pool. I did not at first realize how deep the pool was until I saw people in the plaza running toward it, jumping and diving in.

This is My Presence, set in the midst of the city. If I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto myself. They will RUN to get to me. They will RUN and jump and dive deeply into my Presence and be refreshed and unashamed, in the cities’ centers, in the public squares and marketplaces. This is where I will make myself known.

September 28, 2000 Road Trip—I was driving on a long road trip, interstate, for ministry. I know I was traveling through the south by Jeep, over back roads, through the Carolinas, on the way to Texas. As I crossed one state border (not certain which) the music on the radio suddenly changed to “country”. It was very evident that a border had been crossed into a different territory, with a different atmosphere and different “Air”.

There are very distinct territories, with very distinct atmospheres and spiritual landscapes which must be discerned, and yet the Lord is in the process of taking us from one to another. He is bringing down walls. Not only walls between groups , but walls between territories. Walls between Anointings and Callings. He is giving us ministry vehicles to cross borders. Walls between “spiritual” and “practical” pursuits. Walls between church and marketplace. He giving us vehicles and pathways that go where there are not expressways. And He is taking us through the Prophetic to the Apostolic.

People in spiritual leadership are notoriously territorial. And yet, in this hour, God is uprooting that territoriality, that division, that political spirit, and is replacing it with His Spirit, His vision, and His destiny. We have sought after individual blessings and individual destinies. And we have viewed coming together in cooperative efforts as a sacrifice. But the leaders who are drawn to this, who give themselves to this new move of God, will find themselves caught up into something MUCH larger and more powerful than they ever imagined. And they will come away with new anointing and clarity and vision and release into the individual spheres to which they are called. This is apostolic anointing.

Many who are drawn to this are drawn by something burning inside them. Something that has been there for a long long time. Something that has been waiting and longing for such a time as this. Longing to be given expression and release. These are leaders who have been prepared. Who will recognize the “this is that” prophetic character of events as they occur. This is not about information or planning or agendas. This is about vision and fire. About giving place to passion for the Lord Jesus Christ. The seeds of this have been sown in hearts and souls. Seeds of expectation and of vision. These seeds are even now being called into quick maturity and fruitfulness by the Voice of God. The Call. The Sound. They will burst forth in fruitfulness. Quick works in our own lives. Why have the prophets and intercessors been so stirred up? It’s time. The quick works are bringing about the firstfruits of the Spirit for the harvest to come. You will not collect the firstruits, says the Lord. You will BE the firstfruits. You ARE the firstruits of the harvest. And the sower will overtake the reaper, and the two will rejoice together.
