End Time Prophetic Vision

New Age followers have been put on the right track at a Swiss railway station. Several have come to Christ after attending weeklong seminars aimed at spiritual seekers. Ambiguously titled "Jesus of Nazareth in the Modern Esoteric," the courses have been advertised in esoteric magazines by Daniel Hari, a pastor and former Salvation Army member.

Topics at the courses--held in Lucerne's railway station restaurant--have included "Jesus as spiritual Master and Healer," "experiencing rebirth and its effects," and "experiencing Christ's healing power yourself." One woman who took part said later: "My heart chakra [spiritual energy point] has been opened," reported DAWN Europe's "Friday Fax."

Hari told attendees on the second night that he believed Jesus was alive. "People from the esoteric scene actively seek a purpose in life and supernatural experience of God," he said. "They tend to be well-read and like to attend courses, which they are prepared to pay [for] handsomely. Let's offer them this alternative."

At one meeting a man was healed from liver disease, he said. The man's spirit-healer brother became a Christian the same night, and there was "a chain reaction," with 15 people being saved in a short time. Later this month Hari holds another course at the railway station--this one teaching other Christians how they can reach out to those involved in New Age thought.

"My heart chakra has opened," said a happily smiling woman at the end of the penultimate seminar. She had taken part in a week-long seminar "Jesus of Nazareth in the modern esoteric" held by previous Salvation Army member and pastor Daniel Hari, who reports that people involved in the esoteric scene had come to believe in Jesus in each of the four 5-evening courses which he has held so far. Many of the people who became Christians in his courses subsequently attended an Alpha course.

It all started in Lucerne's railway station restaurant, where Hari held seminars on topics such as 'Jesus as spiritual master and healer', 'Experiencing rebirth and its effects', and 'Experiencing Christ's healing power yourself'. Responses to adverts for his courses in esoteric magazines came via post and telephone. 32 people, only 6 of them Christians, attended the first course. "On the second evening, I openly declared my conviction that Jesus of Nazareth is alive and present with us during the course, with the same power as he had 2000 years ago," says Hari. "We can allow him to work as he chooses, and should not be surprised if he heals people, calls people to follow him or sets people free."
