Thunder in the Desert

I won't hide my love any longer. I want to shout from the mountaintops that I am gloriously, deliriously, foolishly, hopelessly, unashamedly IN LOVE! I am drunk with love! I am lovesick with love! My mind, my heart and my flesh cry out for the One I love! I can't go another day without seeing His face and holding Him close to me. I want Him with a consuming passion that burns like FIRE! Nothing and no one else will satisfy. I NEED Him! I DESIRE Him! I LONG for Him! My heart is breaking into pieces for Him!

And here is the most amazing thing! HE loves ME too! He is as crazy in love with me as I am with HIM! And HE wants to marry ME! He is not ashamed! He loves me! He is my BETROTHED! I am His BRIDE! And He is going to fill me with Himself and consume me with His passion! He thinks I am BEAUTIFUL! His eyes are flames of FIRE and they burn for ME!

And He is coming to me. And everything that is His, and that is in His Father's house, will be given to me. I am to be a queen in His kingdom and to ride with Him on His white horse through His vineyards. He has washed me with the water of His word and now He is changing me into new wine! He is the bread and I am the wine. Our communion is sweet. Come and taste and see that the LORD is GOOD! Sip our wine and forever be spoiled for anything else.

He is beautiful, glorious, all-powerful and magnificent. How the evil one envies and hates Him! My loved one glows like a hot fire on a cold dark night. He is radiant, gorgeous, strong and wonderful. Others didn't see His beauty but I did. Others turned away but I knew He was the pearl of great price. I pursued Him. I sold everything for Him. There is nothing else to be desired. He IS everything. He is my all in all. And now His heart burns for me. He is my heart and my soul and my passion. He is my life. He is my love. I LONG for the consummation of our wedding night. I long to be His and for my beloved to be mine. I long to be one with Him in every way - two becoming ONE.

COME LORD JESUS! Come, my Lord, my life, my love, my Adoni!

I will NEVER get tired of singing of my love for Him! Every day will be a new song that we will sing together. Our children will erupt in explosions of glory and fill the earth. And He will bring them to me on His arm and present them to me as precious jewels. Our children will rise up and call me blessed. They will be radiant and ruddy like their father and filled with the oil of joy and the new wine. They will play by peaceful streams and our hearts will swell with joy as we gather them to our breast like a hen gathers her chicks.

And the whole earth will break forth in joy and exaltation! The earth will rejoice and be glad as the streams and gardens break forth in the deserts. He will decorate the world for me with His splendor, as the wedding feast is prepared in front of our enemies. He is making a wedding present for me. He is carving a stool out of my enemies upon which I can rest my feet as I lay with my head on His chest. He is my provider and protector. My cup overflows and I lack no good thing. Surely goodness and mercy will follow me and I will live with Him in His house forever.

He is the light of my world. He is the light of my life. He will never leave me or forsake me. I will never be widowed or abandoned. I will be loved. I will be married. I will be called the Beloved - the Bride of Christ - the one His heart loves. I will wear His name and His ring. I will dance with Him with joy. He will remove my shame and rejection. He will kiss away my tears and all sorrow and sighing will flee far from me.

He is exceedingly abundantly beyond anything I could have asked or imagined and His love is stronger than death. His love is resurrection life. The grave could not hold Him but I will hold Him in my arms and never let Him go. My lover is mine and I am His. The Spirit and the Bride issue a wedding invitation: COME! Come to the wedding feast. It is prepared! Come and taste and see that the Lord is good! Come and be filled! IT IS TIME!!
