Dear Friends,

Recently I read an article expounding the evidence that Y2k is a man controlled plan to further the UN agenda of one world government. The assertion is made that the agenda behind this is not God's judgment but rather one world government agendas and of evil. While there is little to contest in the article sent to me. I must say that the assertion the Y2k is not the judgment of God because it appears to the author to be orchestrated is somewhat naive. God has used evil men before to discipline and judge His people. Nebuchadnezzar, who carried the Jews into slavery was raised up by God Himself and was called His servant. In fact when Nebuchadnezzar failed to recognize the Almighty he suffered seven years of discipline himself.

Those who are prophesying the judgment of God upon America and the world through Y2k may not understand all the intricate details or outworking of this judgment but even the evil leadership and rampant sin unleashed so far is part and parcel of the judgment of God. We are not only reaping what we have sown but we are going to experience the full discipline of God as He shakes His people loose from their love and dependence upon the world.

There is only one safe place in life, under the wings of the Almighty. Those of God's children that have become complacent and satisfied with the husks of this world and allowed the pleasures of this life to take the place of the Holy Spirit which only belongs to the Most High will be rudely awakened and will in their sudden fear and anxiety learn who their true source is.

This judgment is not about the tribulation, the wrath of God or even against the evil and lost of the world. This judgment comes because those that have professed to know the Lord, who are His people, have grieved the Father's heart and the Holy Spirit. They are turned aside. They have known the Father's love, they have tasted of His goodness, and entered into His grace. His salvation has been given unto them but their love has become cold and indifferent, their desires are turned to the things of the world and their ways are self-seeking and folly.

The Father will not allow this state to continue amongst His church much longer. He has begun the weeding process and the hardships and difficulties ahead will purge the dross from their hearts and cleanse the temple of God., the Bride of Christ will be made ready. Sure the Antichrist and other world leaders may be intending all of these things to happen for their own agenda but we need to remember that God is Sovereign and nothing will happen that is not for His purposes.

The Y2k crisis is a man-made crisis. Man caused the problem and of course man should be able to solve it. The unwillingness or inability to do so is evidence of God's hand. God blinds people to the solution and allows men to fulfill His plans. He plans to prepare a Bride for His son and He plans to come for His own very soon. Those that have heard and obeyed the call of the Spirit to repentance and returning to the Lord and putting Him first in their lives need not fear the future. They have a living and dynamic relationship with the one that holds the future.

I have been saying now for over a year that no matter what you do if you have not made sure that you can hear and obey the Lord, no amount of preparation will save you or help you. Only the ability to hear and obey the Lord will matter in the times ahead. In truth it is all that matters every day. Jesus said my sheep know my voice and the voice of the stranger they will not follow. (John 10:1-5) Well, as the apostasy and heresy in the church evidences, very few can recognize His voice any more. Some will learn this lesson only through the hard times ahead.

I have had a strong and enduring burden of intercession for all the people that are a part of the professing sphere of Christianity, the church. I long for His people to know that the Father has an abiding and enduring love for them. He loves His chosen and elect and is grieved by their deafness and indifference. He is standing ready to pour out His goodness without restraint upon every open heart. To all that cry to Him He will be gracious. But His people have not cried. They have not called.

The Lord cries for them and His heart is longing for them. He loves His people, His soul is drawn out for them. Just as we might experience grief, pain and sorrow at being separated from those we love the Father, the Holy Spirit, is suffering from the separation from His people. He longs for their return just as the father of the prodigal longed for his lost son. His tears flow like a fountain.

It is the love of the Father that brings this judgment, the discipline of the Lord will fall upon the church in order to separate His people from the Idols and weeds in their lives and hearts. He will not share His people with anyone or any thing. He will be first or those that think they have Him will find themselves outside of His body.

God's people can be spared the chastening rod if they will humble themselves and open their hearts willingly to His cleansing power. If they will return to their first love and do the things that they know are the right to do. However, many will only be cleansed when all their idols and other loves have been smashed and they realize that God is truly their only source. Then they will cry unto Him and He will hear their cry. He is merciful and just. He could just leave them as they are.

My prayer is that every child of God will submit to the cleansing of the Holy Spirit and receive His power, joy and strength to walk in the good way. To seek His ways and not their own. To be able to truly say, Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done. Right now, here on earth as it is in Heaven.
