A Double Blessing

We have just passed the traditional time of National remembrance here in the U.S. when we recall our many blessings & their Source. For those of us who know Him, thanksgiving is an inherent part of abiding in Christ & a direct result of our daily worship of Him. Fast approaching is the season worldwide when we remember & give thanks for the greatest gift of all time - the Son of God, who came to earth in our form to communicate His great love for us.

All of us know the words of Jesus, "It is more blessed to give than to receive." Life on earth is a continuous lesson of the vastness of that statement as we each experience anew the blessings of giving to God & others.

For some time now an opportunity for blessing one who has been blessing us has been upon my heart. For nearly a year, in humility, each week we have been reminded that the one who has been giving of his time freely in order to collect, weigh, & post these messages, prophecies, dreams and visions is in continuing financial need - since losing his job & moving his household to another part of the country.

I am sure many of you have felt led to send financial support, but perhaps others of us need a little nudge or reminder to participate in blessing another (& being blessed also) who blesses us each week.

Many perhaps cannot contribute much. Here the principle of multiplication becomes a factor - if many of the hundreds or thousands who come to this site for spiritual encouragement & enlightenment would send just a small amount - a great amount could result - even to the point of allowing our brother to spend more time in his ministry.

Few could not afford a dollar or even five dollars every month or so. Many of us could send much more.

I, like many others have participated in the principle of tithing as a beginning point of giving back to God of the material blessings He entrusts us with. I believe also that it is a valid principle to give to your local church or assembly where you fellowship.

I do believe however that ideally each local church should (& will someday) be such a source of the "state of the art" as it were "mind of the Lord" for this day & time that such fellowship as many of us find only by remote connection via the internet, while enjoyable, would not be as necessary as we find it now.

Because of this, I do not personally find it objectionable to send part of my tithe, as well as gifts, to where I am greatly fed spiritually - whether across town, state, country, or the world.

Spiritual fellowship knows no boundaries of space & our financial blessing of those who bless us need not be limited to those we can see in the flesh either.

Ask God for guidance. Perhaps the Lord would have you give a one-time gift at this season, and/or some regular amount, or the gift of prayer. Both the recipient & you will be blessed - a double blessing!
