The number One is the number for God. There is only ONE true God, and I believe that as we head into 1999, all the world will begin to realize that and that His Word is true. He is number One; the beginning (Alpha) - and the end (Omega).

Nine is the number of the Holy Spirit and of Harvest. - There are nine gifts of the Holy Spirit (I Cor. 12:8-10: Wisdom, Knowledge, Faith, Healing, Miracles, Prophecy, Discerning of Spirits, Tongues and Intrepretation of Tongues) and nine fruits of the Holy Spirit (Gal. 5:22-23: Love, Joy, Peace, Longsuffering, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-control).

That there are THREE nines in the year 1999 is significant - signifying that under ONE Godhead, there is coming fruitful unity of the TRINITY forth in the lives of those submitted to the Lord.

1999 will be a year of rude awakenings for both the Christian church and the world. We who are in the church will be tested with the question Jesus Christ, Himself, asked His own disciples, "Who do YOU say that I am?" The World will be asked the same question, and there will be a call into Harvest as never before, and yet in times soon to come, those responding will be severely tested. Truly, as the Word promises, "Every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord."

The devil; Satan; Lucifer has for a long time been battling the youth by splitting up homes, causing children to be raised fatherless, because he (the devil) was kicked out of heaven and he is fatherless. This year will be the beginning of those children beginning to realize and come out of that lie and turn to their Heavenly Father. I see youth marches and rallies that are born of the youth that will bring many - even many adults - to the Lord. You will even see this in the newspapers.

News media will turn to the church for answers. Headlines themselves will begin to show the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

Signs and wonders in the heavens will increase. I believe that there may even be an aurora borealis type of event in the heavens that will occur and be seen farther from its usual place of sighting. ~ Although this may be just something the Lord showed me spiritually to explain what He is doing in the spirit.

An aurora borealis or northern lights is a colorful natural light show in the heavens that is caused by a quantum leap - which is a transfer of energy from one state to the next, in atomic proportions. Just as things in the natural are a sign of things in the invisible (spiritual) realms, I believe that we will see the beginning of a manifested increase in the power of God through signs, wonders and "unexplainable" miracles which some may refer to as tremendous "coincidences." ~ Healing crusades, such as was common in the 1950's will re-appear on the scene. ~ Maybe even in large tents.

Many in government and in the news media will come to the Lord as they see, first hand, Biblical prophecy begin to unfold. It will (to be blunt) "scare the Hell out of them."

On the other hand, God has already placed many men and women in spots in the news media for His purposes. I believe that the Lord has His "scribes" positioned "for such a time as this" to herald His voice.

For some time the Lord has shown me that HE, alone, will be the Lone Star of Texas. I believe there will be an outpouring there that will make news this year.

The U.S. is in for a wild ride this year, politically, spiritually, economically, and weather-wise.

I believe that the Lord is calling many men and women who have previously been in ministry back out of retirement! It isn't time to be "retired" but to be "re-fired" - re-kindled in the fire of God - and to reach yet another generation. - I believe John Glenn's recent exploits in the heavens were a prophetic sign in the natural of just that.

For some time the Lord has been showing me that Ezra 9:8&9 is a word of encouragement for the entire Body of Christ ~ and I believe that in 1999 and beyond, it will increasingly become even more powerful to the believer: (8) And now for a little while grace has been shown from the Lord our God, to leave us a remnant to escape, and to give us a peg in His Holy Place, that our God may enlighten our eyes and give us a measure of revival in our bondage; (9) For we were slaves. Yet our God did not forsake us in our bondage; but He extended mercy to us in the sight of the kings of Persia, to revive us, to repair the house of our God, to rebuild its ruins, and to give us a wall in Judah* and Jerusalem*. (note: "Judah" means PRAISE and "Jerusalem" means possession of peace.)

Jesus is that "peg" in the Holy Place which we must hang onto tighter than ever in order to withstand the times that are to come and the "fires" of testing and trial which will begin to rage even hotter in 1999 and the year 2000.

I believe that we who are in the church have gone through much personal revival and being "tried by fire" because the Lord is preparing His laborers for a great in-gathering of souls over the next five years. As many begin to realize that we truly are headed down the hallway towards the "last days," the influx of souls to the churches will be great. However, many of the churches, themselves, are not yet ready. There are many pastors and their families who need to get their personal houses in order in a hurry in order to withstand the coming flood of souls into the church. Some may not withstand this type of pressure because they are already at the breaking point. Others will serve as "places of refuge" for them to help to restore and bring them back to spiritual healing and good health. Because of this, a greater unity will occur between churches as they pull together their resources and giftings to help one another and their communities. This will increase all the more in the Year 2000.

MANY women will emerge as spiritual leaders in time to come. 1999 will see more of this than ever before. It is as if they have been "hidden" until "such a time as this."

1999 will be a year of tremendous emotion for the church - tremendous compassion and tears will come forth for the lost, the sick and the dying. It will result in righteous anger and indignation at the enemy, and a church that will truly be the Army of the Lord, coming forth in a mighty anointing of demonstration and power. 1999 is just the beginning of this and it will increase greatly in the year 2000.

The onslaught of the enemy in the coming year will be fear, which, if not recognized and dealt with properly could reslult in panic, chaos and suicide. A sales trainer by the name of Zig Ziglar used to say that fear is: F.E.A.R. = False Evidence Appearing Real. I heard a Christian counselor once say that 98% of all of his cases deal with people's fear and 98% of those fears never come to pass. As Christians we need to cling to 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and of love and of a sound mind." We must also remember that, as it says in the Word "He will keep those in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Him."
