This is what Israel had to say and when the time came that the watchman told them about, they were not ready.

Jesus Christ has warned in Matthew 24, When the disciples of Jesus Christ asked him what was the sign of his coming. The very first thing that he said was, Be careful that no one misleads you, [deceiving you and leading you into error] Many will come in My name, saying I am the Christ and they will lead many astray.

Then he went on to tell them the things that were going to come, and there will be wars and rumor of wars, see that you are not frightened, don't let your heart get caught up in terror, you see these things have to take place. there will be famine and earthquakes in many places at once, one after another, and it is only the beginning of sorrows. When we see the signs of the time we must be prepared for the wrath of the evil men in whose hearts the devil rules, that will take place upon God's people, the reason this takes place is because of the falling away that has to come. Listen to what Jesus Christ has to say about this, and yet you get all shook up when a watchman tells you what is to take place. The reason the watchman is suppose to warn God's people is to get them prepared for the time of persecution, and to be able to stand in that evil day, with the whole armor of God tightly on them where there will be no room for becoming offended in that day.
 

Matthew 24:9-10, Then they will hand you over to suffer affliction and tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name sake. [10] And then many will be offended and repelled and will begin to distrust, and will stumble and fall away and betray one another and pursue one another with hatred.

You see what is happening here. The many that the Holy Spirit is talking about are the very ones who would not listen to the warnings coming from the watchmen. Then actually said we will not obey the word that you are giving, and we will not listen to any doomsday prophet what they have to say, we will keep going on with what we are hearing from the preachers and teachers that are telling us good things. This is what the Lord wants, he wants his people to hear the good things he can do for us and not what some terrorist will do. We will go on our own way.

You see these are the very people who will desert the Lord and pursue with hatred those who have lied to them. They were not ready for the persecution. They say, this can't be happening to us, we were told we would escape these things. So the hatred really starts, and then you will see in this time many false prophets rising up and deceiving and leading many into error.

Now listen to this, AND THE LOVE OF THE GREAT BODY OF PEOPLE WILL GROW COLD, BECAUSE OF THE LAWLESSNESS AND INIQUITY. [verse 12] What is the great body? I believe it is all the people that was told to say the prayer of accepting Jesus Christ as Savior, They just mouth the words that the preacher said, they were never told them they had to repent from their old ways, and pick up the cross and follow Jesus Christ whether it be in life or death. These people were never born again, and they were deceived into thinking that everything is all right. They have never sought the eternal path, and the good old way and then walk in it. What is the good old way, It is the Cross where Jesus Christ defeated sin's power and destroyed the devil's works, and where all of Adam's nature was dealt a death blow. And that they can walk in the freedom of the Holy Spirit, in which he leads the ones who come to Christ into the freedom that Jesus Christ won for them, and experiencing the very Joy of Salvation.

You see the reason that these things come upon the people of God, is to separate those who belong to the Lord and those who don't. There must be a complete surrender to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Where will you be standing in that day. One who sees the hand of God in control, or one who gets offended?

Many have been following the teaching of man and not the teaching of the Holy Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ says in verse 13, HE WHO ENDURES TO THE END SHALL BE SAVED.

Now there is a promise that you can really depend upon, and that is when the time comes for the persecution and you are loving the Lord and following him in what he said, you will be given the strength to go though it, whether it be life or death. God will give you at that time all the strength that you need. Be not anxious the Lord God Almighty says, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world, in the world you will have tribulation, trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer, be confident, for I have overcome the world, [John 16:33] Jesus Christ said that he overcame the world for us, and that when we trust him he can take us through anything that we have to go through. Hallelujah!

I can hear in my spirit many saying, oh, we have heard that over so many times and nothing has happened yet. God said, there would be mockers and scoffers in the last days, so don't let these kind of thoughts capture your mind, and be ready for what is to come. Yes this western church is going to experience persecution like it never had before. What makes us think that we will escape when we are so lukewarm and can't even stand when a brother or sister looks at us wrong. This western church is not even prepared for the persecution. They are like Israel of old. When they said we will go our own way and not be obedient to the Word of the Lord.

Many have been told they were going to escape the tribulation. Do you think that God will allow only the church abroad to go through the tribulation and loose their lives for the Gospel sake and for the Word of Jesus Christ. What a foolish way to think. Do you think you think that we are so special, that God would never allow anything like that to happen to us here in America, after all don't we bring the Gospel to every nation. Yes many have brought the Gospel to every nation, but not out of a pure heart or pure motives. and that will be judged. When you have wicked judges, and wicked people running the nation, there is something that has to come in the way of cleansing. Have you ever heard of Ethnic Cleansing, Get rid of all who call themselves Christians. Those who name the name of Christ don't deserve to live, they are lower than a dog and need to get rid of it. It's coming, and it is not too far off,

God wants his people to be ready for that day, and that is drawing ever so close to him and become strong in him and in the power of his might. This is why Paul said in Ephesians 6:10-18
 

In conclusion, Be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God That you may be able to stand up against the strategies and the deceits of the devil. For we are not wrestling against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers, against wicked spirit in high places, For this reason put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to resist and stand your ground on the evil day, and having done all, to stand firmly in your place.

[1]. Stand [hold your ground] having tightened the belt of truth around your loins.
[2]. Wear the breastplate of righteousness, which is holy living,
[3]. having your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace, [facing the enemy with a firm-footed stability, being ready at all times to preach the good news [not of money, but of the Gospel that sets a person free from their sins and takes them into the reality of living a holy life in Christ Jesus].
[4].holding up the shield of faith, to quench every fiery dart that the enemy throws against you,
[5]. take the helmet of salvation,
[6]. taking the sword of the Spirit, which is the very word of God, and it is the Holy Spirit that wields which is the word of God, that it will be sharp enough to penetrate the enemy.
[7]. Pray at all times in the Spirit with all manner of prayer, keeping alert, and watch with strong purpose, perseverance, interceding in behalf of all saints.

These are the seven part of the armor to be strong in the Lord and in the Power of his might. Also the Spirit of the Lord warns us that:

Romans 13:11-14,
[11] Besides this you know what a critical hour this is, how it is high time now for you to wake up out of your sleep. For Salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed.
[12] The night is far gone and the day is almost here. Let us then drop the works and deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.
[13] Let us live and conduct ourselves honorably and becomingly as in the open light of the day, not in reveling carousing and drunkenness, not in immorality and sensuality and licentiousness, not in quarreling and jealousy.
[14] But clothe yourself with the Lord Jesus Christ and make no provision for the flesh, [put a stop to thinking about the evil cravings of your physical nature to gratify its desires.

What is the Spirit of the Lord saying.
[1]… Know the time and how critical it is.
[2]… It is high time to wake up out of your sleep
[3]… Salvation is nearer than when you first accepted the Lord
[4]… The night is far gone, the day is at hand
[5]… Drop the works and deeds of darkness
[6]… Put on the Armor of Light
[7]… Live in the open light of the day, not in what the people of darkness do
[8]… Make no provision for your flesh, don’t give way to what the flesh desires.
[9]… Clothe yourself with the Lord Jesus Christ, His character.
