Ref: THE SECOND THUNDER by Bob Neumann

I read with interest Bob Neumann’s Second Thunder. In going carefully over "The Doctrines of the End Days" I realized that these Doctrines apply not only to the apostate church, but are among the major underpinnings of the New Age Movement (Religion) as well. The New Age has set itself up against the message of the Gospel and its doctrines are now found everywhere including books, TV, movies, songs and even in our nation’s classrooms.

I am very familiar with many of these doctrines as I was caught up in this great deception for over twenty years. The message is carefully crafted and persuasive. It is gaining new adherents daily.

1. THE FIRST IS A GOSPEL OF PROSPERITY
This is a major pinion of the New Age and works in conjunction with numbers 2, 3 and 4. "Prosperity" is among top buzzwords of the New Age. Almost all roads lead to the attempted achievement of "being prosperous". Workshops, treasure maps, creative visualization and any number of tricks and techniques are used to try and achieve this goal.

It was as early as 1987 I realized that about the only people who were really "prosperous" were the ones teaching others to be "prosperous". They achieved this goal by writing books and charging exorbitant sums of money for "Prosperity Workshops". People were so hungry for food of any kind that they flocked to these workshops in large numbers, where their registration fees filled the wallets of the ‘teachers". The ‘teacher’s" personal prosperity was "proof" that their methods worked.

2. THE DOCTRINE OF ACCEPTANCE
Virtually all peoples, religions, behaviors and belief systems are OK and encouraged because we are "One". The one exception seemed to be Christianity. Christians are usually seen as dogmatic, bigoted and highly dangerous to the new order of ‘love" the New Age hopes to establish. Just about any "religious" book is OK to read except for the Bible. Eastern and occult teachings are everywhere to be found. There is total ignorance of true Biblical Christianity.

3. THE THIRD IS THE TRADITION OF TITHING
Amazingly enough, this is the one major message lifted out of the Bible which is enthusiastically espoused by many in the New Age. As part of the "magic principles" used to achieve "prosperity", many New Agers tithe to their churches or "source of inspiration". Katherine Ponder has written numerous books on this subject and is one of the original New Age authorities, although there are others as well. This tithed money is being used to help spread New Age beliefs and mysticism, in direct opposition to the Word of God.

4. THE FOURTH IS THE THEORY OF DOMINION THEOLOGY
This is a crucial New Age teaching. It interested me considerably how Satan has twisted this belief so carefully into New Age principles and "theology". The basis of this theory is the belief that we are ‘co-creators", "little creators" or "God’s in the making."

You hear and see this belief espoused everywhere today in the words: "Change your thoughts and you can change your life", or "Change your thoughts and you can change the world’ (Paradigm Shift Theory). The idea is to gain control over outward circumstances, improve self image, achieve "prosperity’ etc by changing ones thoughts or manipulating the ethers into giving us what we want or think we need. . Mantras, creative visualization, mind control and many occult practices are used to try and achieve this goal

Many also believe we can achieve a "Paradigm Shift" in the thinking and the behavior of the world, if only enough people will think correctly and in unison. (Voila: instant enlightenment for all!)

Lucifer is extremely clever and well versed in lacing his lies with truth to draw in the unsuspecting. The whole New Age deception has been so carefully crafted that my sister Rosie (who was the number one New Age children’s songwriter for many years) and I have not been able to extract one single friend from it. We count ourselves lucky, that God in his great grace and mercy was able to extract us. I believe this to be the great end times counterfeit religion. It is persuasive and highly seductive. It elevates the creature above the Creator. People are totally deaf and blinded to its massive tantalizing deception: The Elevation of "Self".

Why give up a religion where you get to ‘play God" for one where you need to become a servant and are a sinner in need of redemption?
