1998 Part III

I want to thank all of you who have read my last two newsletters on "1998" and have taken them to heart. I have had some interesting confirmational comments as the Lord is speaking to many about the same things. Some are making copies for friends. One sister called and mentioned that she had placed these prophesies on the internet and had had many responses to them. another told me that he was distributing Part I at the Post Office where he works in Washington State. This demonstrates to me the hunger for prophetic insight in a world full of questions.

During the first six months of 1998 there will be two dominant forces that will effect our life in America as never before. It will change our nation forever. The first is WAR and the second is REVELRY. The was I saw will be waged on five fronts: the family, the Middle East, our government, the entertainment industry and false teachers. Each one of these fronts will take a toll upon the health of the nation and will produce a cloud that will hang over the country. It will seem to never burn off. I remember a couple of years ago when we had a lot of

days in northern California when all it did was rain, rain, rain. People were getting so wearing of it come psychologists were prescribing the pressures of these battles, people will resort to REVELRY to get through.

As the people turn to all kinds of PLEASURES FOR A SEASON, many will shirk all responsibility and live for the day. Many will deny that anything is wrong and make irrational decisions because it will be easier than facing their problems. While the nation is battling these two forces, the Lord will call true believers to COME UP ON THE MOUNTAIN to seek Him.

This will mean fasting, prayer, intercession, a call to purity as well as believing the Lord for the miraculous. God will bring the church to a place of great intercession' six months of serious asking, seeking, and knocking. After this time, it will be as the events of Exodus 32 all over again. This chapter discuses the account of the GOLDEN CALF. Moses and Joshua were called to ascend Mr. Sinai to receive the Law. Joshua stayed at a distance while Moses stood in the presence of God. As they descended from the mountain the scripture says.

And when Joshua heard the noise of the people as they shouted, he said to Moses, "There is a noise of war in the camp." But he said, "It is not the voice of those who shout in victory, Nor is t the voice of those who carry in defeat, But the voice of those who sing that I hear." Exodus 32:17-18 (NKJV) In the months to come the world around you will be filled with a lot of noises. War cries, pain of marriages gone awry, children seeking solace, grotesque groans that were once done in silence will be put on loud speakers for everyone to experience, judges screaming at defendants who have been "found out", disease-ridden patients demanding the final drug and mothers giving birth unwanted children. Churches will see a resurgence of God seeking individuals coming to the church to pray and ask forgiveness when no one else is around. Deep groanings will be heard in many sanctuaries by pastors who are in their offices. Lots of noises!

You might be asking how some of these things will play out in our everyday living. I will deal with that question in detail in the following newsletters. But, for now, I will say that the divorce rate will continue to soar this year, and don't be surprised at what you hear about Iraq and Israel and US involvement. It's not the chemical and biological warfare that will determine Middle East dominance. It's the victories won over the prince of Persia in the heavenlies that will count. Concerning our government, I shared with you in Part II to prepare for the next president and new leadership. Right now, the Lord is opening up "hidden things", and this will continue to happen. He's not through unveiling. He is walking through Washington D>C> and Hollywood, and is revealing truth to those who will hear it. Be careful who you listen to this year. Many...many false teachers will lead many astray this year. This will be very frustrating to the believer who is praying for and witnessing to friends and family.

False teachers will be everywhere and very hard to detect. IT would be great if they had a sign hung around their neck in bold letters saying. "I AM A FALSE TEACHER!" But, since they don't, just be aware that they are very deceptive and dangerous especially to new believers.

II Peter 2:1 says that "there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction." In the Greek, it gives the idea that these teachers will bring heretical teachings ALONG SIDE the truth. These teachings will be on a parallel journey with the truth but they will be false. It will take a knowledge of scripture and a spiritually sensitive eye to discern and route out these teachings that sound like the truth, look like the truth, feel like the truth but have no solid scriptural base. Beware!
